Nicki drove wildly though the streets towards the hospital. His eyes not leaving the road as he weaved through cars. Perrie slowly curled the small child's body into hers. Jessie was wheezing, his coughing unwavering. She watched helpless as his lips began to turn blue. As her eyes met his she knew he was frightened, he had no clue what was going on and only knew that it was getting harder and harder to breathe.

The car jolted to a stop before the two parents were out the car doors. They could hear doors closing behind them before other frantic footsteps joined theirs. Jessie, Nicki and Perrie were ushered to the back while the two girls and their boyfriends were guided towards a waiting area.

The older man was handed their son before Perrie positioned herself along the large bed. The both knew one of them was going to need to hold him still. As he went to hand her Jessie the small boy retreated back into his fathers form. While her heart nearly broke she also understood just why the young boy was doing that. Nicki was comfort for all of them and a bigger body to hide in is better, she also knew the young boy would want her hand at all times.

The two adults traded places before Jessie's was carefully turned towards the doctor. The young boy cowered back into his fathers chest, his wheezing not ceasing. The older man rubbed his arm before the doctor began to examine the small child. A few machines were hooked up before blood was drawn from Jessie's arm earning a scream and a chorus of cries before his coughing started once more.

"We're going to need to place him on an IV to ensure he doesn't dehydrate." The two parents nodded before Perrie moved to sit next to Nicki on the bed. The young boy cowered back into his parents before his face buried into his mother. The doctor placed the IV line as she softly hummed distracting the child for the moment. "At this point in time it seems as though he has a very serious case of croup. I am going to start him on a breathing treatment but until we can gather the equipment please keep him as calm as possible and try to keep the oxygen on him as much as possible."

They both nodded before they were momentarily left alone. Nickis legs crossed before he pulled his wife into his lap his arm wrapping around the two. He leaned back as she slowly rocked the sniffling child who's breathing was ragged. Her hand moved along Jessie's back as she heard the older man begin to hum. Slowly the pair watched as his eyes began to droop his breathing slowing slightly.

"Don't fall asleep Baba." Perrie said gently drawing the four year olds eyes to her. "When they get the medicine to make you feel better then you can." She explained softly before he nodded. A new doctor walked in with a large machine in tow. The machine was carefully hooked up to the small boy as the doctor explained it would need to be on him for the night to properly aid in his treatment. Once the room was empty once more they saw the young boy move to try and take off the mask.

"No bub don't do that." Nicki said as he carefully removed the four year olds hands from the respiratory mask. "Just lean against mum and close your eyes." He said before Perries fingers moved through their sons hair.

Jessie sighed his eyes growing heavy as his father once more began to hum. She watched as the older man pulled his phone out and texted her mother and their friends once their son was asleep.

"Your turn." The older man said softly into her ear as he once more leaned back on the bed. His arms wound around the two of them as he hummed a new tune in his wife's ear. Sleep was the last thing on his mind. The only thing he wanted was for the two of them to be comfortable enough to sleep.

"I love you." She mumbled into his ear as her head hit his shoulder. Before he could even answer she turned her head and buried her face in his neck. It seemed like seconds before she was asleep.

Nicki continued to hum quietly to the two as he watched multiple nurses walk in and out checking on Jessie's vitals at different points. He could tell it was nearing morning as the light just began to show through the window in the room. As he felt a shiver coarse through the body in front of him, he cuddled her in closer. His hands moved to carefully run along her arms, warming but not waking her.

"Da.." The boys quiet words drew his attention as he noticed the mask no longer along his face. It was that moment he became grateful that they removed all the machines while the child was in a deep sleep much like his mother.

"It's okay Baba, everything's okay now." The young boy released Perries hand before grasping onto his fathers forearm. Nicki carefully hugged the boy before a nurse came in and told him they were working on the young boys discharge. "Love.." He said quietly into his wife's ear. Her tired eyes met his. "He's gonna be let go soon." She relaxed back into him before mumbling.

"Wake me up when it's time to go." Jessie nodded at his mothers words before cuddling back into her Nickis arm now trapped between the two of them. Perrie couldn't help but notice her husbands hand gently rubbing along her stomach. "Don't you get any ideas." He started laughing.

"God no. Three is a handful as it is. I couldn't imagine another right now." She nodded in agreement before a nurse came in with their release papers. The two didn't even need to speak before they were on their feet and out the door Jessie carefully wrapped in Perries arm. "I'll get the car." He said as he noticed the rain outside. She nodded before Nicki made his way towards their car. Once he was in front of the hospital the blonde quickly made her way into the back seat the door closing behind her.

"Drive safely this time." She stated before he chuckled his head nodded as he watched her buckled the young boy in.

"You staying back there?" He asked before she nodded and her belt was buckled. Her hand took her sons before she leaned against the car seat. Nicki began the long drive back to their house. He never went above the speed limit as he saw the two falling asleep in the back. Once home he made sure that the car was slowly parked ensuring they would both remain asleep.

He grabbed Jessie first gently scooping the small boy up before he opened their large door and took the child to his room. By the time he got back down Perrie bumped into him. Without any hesitation he lifted her and carried her to their room. It was minutes after they had cuddled together that they felt the bed shift and their daughter squeeze between them. Her face buried into her fathers chest before another two sets of feet were heard. Leighton curled into his mothers back before Nicki felt Jessie do the same to him.

The two exchanged a look before their foreheads pressed together. His lips met her nose before his eyes closed. Her fingers moved to run through his hair before a deep sigh left his body. She could tell he hadn't slept since the day before. Her lips moved to press against his forehead before she shifted allowing his face to bury into her neck.

"Your turn." She said softly using his own words against him. Though she wanted sleep she couldn't help but cherish this moment. She gently smoothed Amelia's hair before doing the same to Jessie. The two twins released a long sigh before she felt Leightons arms wrap around her neck. His face buried into his mothers shoulder before her hand moved along his arms gently. It was the times like these she wouldn't trade for the world.

As Perries head moved to rest against the pillow a content sigh was released from her lips. Jade walked into the room her eyes meeting the blondes.

"Sorry Pez. I didn't think yous would be back and didn't think the first place they'd come would be here." The blonde chuckled softly.

"They're sick who do you think they want." The brunette chuckled before her best friend patted the bed. The smaller woman slid into bed next to Jessie before the blonde spoke again. "How'd you wind up with them?"

"Just wanted some cuddles and thought Debbie could use a break."
