»I will go to the toilet first,« I mumbled and yawned tiredly as I walked through the small path of the plane and went to the tiny cabin that was called toilet.

I straight up ignored the eyes on my back.

Cassian had stared at me for the whole car drive and if I wouldn't have been fighting my exhaustion, I would have hissed at him that he should leave me in peace.

To sit next to him when I was back was something I totally didn't want. Everything inside of me resisted against sitting next to him right now.

Again, I yawned and flushed and washed my hands before I left the cabin. As I knew Naika, she probably didn't want to swap seats with me and the couple that whispered sweet nothings would not swap seats at all.

»Sorry,« I murmured when I bumped into a woman – probably only a few years older than I.

»Watch where you go!« Offended, she stared straight at me – we were of the same height – and then snorted.

»Sorry. The path's are narrow,« I apologized again. I had no energy for a long discussion of who was at fault.

»Then open your eyes!«

She plucked at her top and drove her fingers through her hair, obviously a little stressed. And then she threw a look over her shoulder and as I followed her eyes, I noticed she looked to Cassian's seat.

I only saw his hair from my spot but that was enough to know it was him – well his smell, the throbbing bond and my whole body could tell me too.

As it seemed, she hoped to get his attention. Obviously, he was handsome and for his only 20 years looked mature enough to attract even a little older woman. And that gave me an idea.

»I have a question,« I said, and she gave me her attention again.

Challenging, she pulled up her eyebrows and crossed her arms under her boobs which made them bigger than they already were.

»I saw that you look at the young man, a friend of mine, and coincidentally my seat is right next to him. But I have no nerve to sit next to him right now. How about we swap seats?«

Surprised she looked past me, and I turned too, to look where her eyes wandered.

»Agreed. I, too, have no nerves to sit next to that knitting old bag.« I handed her my plane ticket, and she gave me hers before we both went to our new seats.

»Hello,« I greeted the friendly old lady who looked up and softly returned my smile.

»Such a good-looking man sits next to me?« she asked as I sat down.

»Actually, the pretty unfriendly woman would sit here. But I can't sit next to my boyfriend right now, so we swapped seats.«

She laughed quietly and then knitted further. Was that even allowed on an airplane? Couldn't they be potential weapons?

Relieved that she had no problems with me and that I didn't need to sit next to Cassian, I snuggled deeper into my seat and closed my eyes. Finally, I could sleep.

To my bad luck, my senses got a lot sharper when I dozed off which was why I could filter out his voice even clearer because my whole body focused on him when I wasn't right next to him, though I couldn't stand being close to him.

»Excuse me, but this seat is taken. Your seat must be somewhere else,« I heard Cassian say in confusion.

»The blond guy swapped seats with me,« the woman said in return and tried to flirt, though I didn't know how that sentence could be flirting at all, and felt his eyes searching for me in the next moment.
