What!

Alex's POV

Raven blurted out. Max's eyes shot open and he looked really nervous. I was shocked as well.
" What do you mean?" I asked.
"A mate is someone's mate. Like soulmate! You are Max's soulmate. Every werewolf has a mate and you are Max's." Raven explained. Max was giving Raven the look to stop talking. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Y'all are joking. No way." But they all gave me serious faces. "What?" I asked still not believe it. "Nu un." I added.
"She's right." Max finally said.
"How do you even know?" I asked testing him.
"I read it in the book at that bookstore we first went to. But I knew long before that."
"Are you sure?" I asked still laughing.
"Yep. I'm 100% sure you are my mate. You make me feel weird but in a good kind of way. I like being around you and looking at you. You put a tingling feeling in me and I don't know why. But my inner wolf told me what it meant and I knew it was you.And that kiss we just had was wonderful. I mean, it proves to me that you are my mate. "
"But you told me your girlfriend's name was Lucy. Why isn't she your mate?"
"Lucy? Who's Lucy?" Luke and Raven asked.
"Lucy doesn't exist. I don't know Lucy. I was really talking about you. And I regret the way I treated you. I will always regret it until the day I die. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry Alex. " I was still laughing.
"Why are you laughing? We aren't playing." Luke said.
"I'm laughing because if I was supposedly his mate and he KNEW I was his mate then why on earth would he treat me like shit my entire life. If I, according to you, make you feel so good just by looking at me, then why the fuck do you act the way you do! Gee some romantic boyfriend you are. You know your a piece of shit! I hope you regret everything you said to me. And I'll make sure you feel the way I felt. The pain I went through. I had no idea why you said what you said to me. Now you bring up this mate stuff? Bullshit! It's all bullshit. You expect me to throw away 20 years of misery out the window because 'oh your my mate Alex, I just treated you like shit for no reason at all and now I'm finally realizing it' and I'm just suppose to say 'oh yes Max, I want be your mate. I will always love you and completely forget 20 years of fucking hell I put up with you' I think not!" I said raging mad and making sure he was hurting with every single word I said. I calmed a little and said "now, I don't want to hear anymore of this mate bullshit. Not right now. I have other things to be worrying about than you." I said coldly. "Okay, now lets get back to reality. It took those dumbasses 2 years to find us after we escaped so that means they were already at the lab when we were there except Frankenstein trained them to go against us. And it took them less than a day to find us from California to Denver. So my guess is we have three days top until they find us again. I say we plan an attack."
"How? We don't even know where the lab is at. And not to mention we aren't badasses ourselves to be fighting them without getting hurt. I mean sparkle face tricked their minds! Their minds! That's like Luke but scarier and doesn't have wings. Plus she almost killed them just by kissing and breathing on them."Raven shouted.
"Your right. The training we could do here. That shouldn't be a problem."
"We can make demons to attack us as practice." Luke suggested.
"Yeah, that could work. You can control them right because the last thing we need is to have demons ruling the world. No offense."
"Non taken."
"And the lab. Now I think I can find a way to find the lab. Maybe if I concentrate on the world hard enough I could feel the lab. I'll find a way, some how."
"Okay done. Train. Attack." Luke said. We all agreed.
"So what kind of training do we do? Like just fighting or do we need to add running miles too?" Luke asked.
"Whatever is fine with me." Max spoke.
"Well no one asked for your opinion right now." I snapped. "Is anyone talking to you? No not that I remember. I think the fighting is more important. You and Raven can jump if it came to escaping, werewolf boy can run, cause they are supposedly fast and romantic creatures says all the Twilight series."
"And what about you?" Max asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked confused on exactly what he was asking me.
"How are you going to escape if it came down to it?" He cleared up the question.
"I'm sure I can handle myself. Look at is as taking one for the team." They all gave me sad faces. But it was the truth. I would die for them, even for the moron Max. "Lighten up guys," I said talking pertically towards Luke and Raven. "We can win this. I know we can. Now lets go train. Lets not let these guys make us doubt ourselves." We headed outside and did some warm up exercises: jumping jacks, lunges, squats etc. Then we each started doing what we could already do. Me with the elements, Luke with his mind control and demons. Raven's dark magic and also demons, and the jackass with his werewolf transformation. We also worked on flying just in case one of us was lucky enough to fight with the green goblin.
"So do we just fight who ever comes after us first or do we train to fight a specific bad guy?" Raven asked.
"I don't know. For sure I am going against sparkle face, no exceptions." I said thinking of what I wanted to do to her already.
"Okay, I want stone guy, I'll show him what a girl can do," Raven said making a fist and hitting her hand.
"I got goblin." Luke said.
"I guess that leaves me with shadow fairy," Max said.
"Be careful not to make her fall in love with you," I commented. He look annoyed but also ashamed. "It hurts doesn't it? Ha get use to it lover boy." I laughed. We finished the day tired as can be. After showers, we went asleep. I couldn't help but want to guard the house. But eventually I fell asleep on the couch.
