👼 MY ANGEL 👼

Elsa got ready for work and made breakfast for Jeremy.

He was still fast asleep in her bed, so she put it on the nightstand so he could have it the moment he woke up.

She didn't understand how he had to work on a Sunday but could sleep in on a Monday. Maybe that was just how his work schedule was, unpredictable.

Work that day was just the same as usual. It was just work and work with nothing fun happening.

Well, it was a job she didn't really enjoy doing. She hoped Jeremy wouldn't ask her to resign again, because she wouldn't. Not yet, at least.

That day, she was able to get to the records room again and went to the computer to search for records of previous employees. She searched for the nurse called Esther Rowland, and she found her.

She had worked in the hospital for less than a month. Three weeks after she started working here, her mom took her life, and that was the week she resigned.

Elsa found the details she gave the hospital when she started working there. She took out her phone and took a picture, so she could look at it later if there was anything she could work with.

She also searched for her sister since she had worked there before. But she wasn't in the records of being an employee there at all. That was suspicious.

Allan and Elsa talked to each other during their breaks. Allan wanted to hang out during the weekend, and Elsa promised to give him an answer on Thursday if she was free or not.

The rest of the day went by painfully slow, and all Elsa could think about was Jeremy.

When her shift was done, she was more than happy to go home. But before going home, she wanted to go to the sea first.

She collected her stuff and went out of the hospital, hoping to catch a cab immediately. Only to find Jeremy standing next to his car with his phone in his ear, talking to someone.

He came to pick her up! Wow!

They hadn't even talked all day. She assumed he was busy and didn't bother him, and he didn't call either.

She would have skipped all the way to him if she wasn't tired.

Jeremy hadn’t noticed her at first because he was busy talking on the phone, so Elsa sneaked up to him and hugged him from behind tightly.

Jeremy wasn’t even startled; it was like he was expecting her. He turned around and hugged her back as he immediately hung up the phone.

“There you are,” he said, caressing her cheek.

“Your hair is stained with snow.” That was the first thing she said.

Jeremy chuckled, “Ready to go?” Elsa nodded.

“Could you take me to April Sea first?”

Jeremy didn't ask why; he just immediately agreed. “Of course.” He opened the car door for her, and she slipped in.

That act had someone who was secretly watching gritting her teeth. ‘Enjoy it while it lasts, Elsa.’

Jeremy stopped the car next to April Sea, and Elsa immediately got out of the car without waiting for him to open the door for her.

She walked towards the sea as she breathed in the cold breeze. She went into her bag and took out her urn. She hugged it tightly as she blinked away her tears.

‘Hey sister, I will spread your ashes soon, just like we agreed on. But first, I have to find the person who took my rebellious angel away. You kept so much from me, Gwen. I just wished you could have told me something. But you did leave a trail for me to follow. I'll make sure both you and Mommy rest in peace. Both your killers will be caught and sentenced. I promise you.’
