A New Year, A New Album, Grammys, and Keeping Our Love Warm

(A/N: This chapter takes place between January 2009 and February 8th-14th 2009. I also wanna give a huge thank you to my friend Mjthe112222aaaa for helping me out with this chapter. She wrote a small part of the date night scene and helped with photos for the album cover and the gift Michael gives Rachael for Valentines day. 585: INT. PAISLEY PARK (STUDIO) DAY FADE IN:

One month later. January, 2009. Rachael is back at Paisley Park ready to start work on a new album.

RACHAEL: (comes in)

PRINCE: There she is. Long time no see. (hugs her tightly) How you doing Rach?

RACHAEL: I'm okay, you?

PRINCE: Pretty good, I've been working on a new album, it's gonna be big. It's gonna be a two album set with a bonus album by Bria Valente, she's one of the new artists on my NPG label, she's really amazing.

RACHAEL: That's great! I can't wait to hear it!

PRINCE: So, you ready to record?

RACHAEL: I always am! I've written a few new songs that I think you'll really like.

PRINCE: That's great Rach, and listen, you know how we've been talking about changing up your style a little bit? I was thinking we could step away from the pop and soft rock stuff you usually record and do something totally different. I was thinking for this album you could get some real funk in there, some real soul. I'm talking the classics. "Until You Come Back To Me", "Since I Fell For You", Rach, they would be perfect for your voice.

RACHAEL: You know what? That's a great idea. I've been wanting to record more mature material for awhile now.

PRINCE: Well, let's get to it!

RACHAEL: Alright! (gets into the booth)
