The head of the household above Xia Yu is named Shi. 

The male is Shi Yiliang. He is almost forty years old this year and is a small executive in a company. His annual salary and various incomes combined can be considered to be over 1 million. 

The female is named Zhang Xiu, a full-time housewife, and the twins at home are less than 3 years old. They are the children that the couple finally got. Living with them is Shi Yiliang's mother.

Shi Yiliang grew up in a single-parent family. Mother Shi has been both a father and a mother since he was a child. Life is not easy. 

Generally, boys who grow up in such families develop in two directions: distorted personality, or being independent. 

However, even though Shi Yiliang's mother worked three jobs a day to support the family, she never made Shi Yiliang suffer at all. 

He was never allowed to do things at home. He only needed to study hard. Even if he was in a single parent home and the family conditions were not good, he could still have good clothes and food.

When Shi Yiliang was a child, he saw that his mother was working very hard, so he took the initiative to help with housework. 

However, Mother Shi disagreed. She told her son that as long as he studied hard and became successful and made a lot of money in the future, his mother would no longer have to work so hard. 

Later, Shi Yiliang became someone who wouldn't help even if he can see it. 

But maybe because his mother has been telling him since he was a child that as long as he gets ahead, his mother won't have to work hard anymore, so even if Shi Yiliang was raised a little selfish and only cares about his own feelings, he still treats his mother very well. 

At least after himself, his mother comes first.

When it comes to a mama's boy, Shi Yiliang is not a mama's boy in the traditional sense.

Although he listens to his mother, his mother listens to him more. He is used to making the decision at home. He is not a mama's boy, but he can't live without his mother. 

It's not like he didn't lived with his girlfriends before, but now girls are very squeamish. They don't want to do this or that, and they still want him to serve them.

How could Shi Yiliang, who had been taken care of since childhood, accept such a life? And his mother was willing to live with them and do housework and take care of their daily life.

However, Mother Shi, aside of putting her son first in everything, she have a strong control of everything involving his son. To the point worrying on what kind of underwear her son's wear and didn't give them any private space. 

Shi Yiliang is used to this kind of lifestyle, and doesn't think there is any problem. He always feels that his former girlfriends were making all kinds of unreasonable troubles. His mother has worked hard to take good care of them. 

They have food to eat when they come home, and their clothes are washed, and everything is done. He didn't want to worry about the dissatisfaction and the unwillingness, so he delayed getting married until he was in his thirties.

At this age, major life events must be solved, so after various introductions and blind dates, Shi Yiliang met Zhang Xiu.

Zhang Xiu did not have a high degree of education. After graduating from junior high school, she was sent to work in a factory by her family. The family still favored boys over girls, which led to Zhang Xiu's character being somewhat submissive.
