Arc 4: Chapter 17

I wake up, it's still dark outside. I hear the sound of rain, loudly hitting the roof. I don't want to get up for once I'm actually comfortable and relaxed. I close my eyes again and snuggle against something. I suddenly feel Luke's arm wrap over my back.

I look up and realize I'm snuggling with Luke.

My eyes widen and I look at him embarrassed.

"It's okay Clem." He whispers.

"I'm sorry... This is embarrassing." I say.

"What's embarrassing about this?" He asks.

"That I'm laying against you." I say.

"I don't see how that's embarrassing. I thought it was cute." He smiles.

"Just go back to sleep." He says.

I hesitantly look at him for a moment. He looks at me with kind eyes.

I lay my head again this chest and wrap my arms around his body.

I felt his hand rubbing my back. Before long I was asleep again.

I woke up, it was light outside and I'm still laying on Luke.

I look up at him and see him asleep. I look over at Nick and see he's awake, waiting for us to wake up.

Nick looks over to Luke and I, and smiles.

I felt myself blushing.

"I know you're awake Clem." Nick says.

I turn back to his direction.

"So?"

"I think somebody's got a crush on Luke." Nick smirks.

"Shut up! No I don't!" I snap at him.

"Mmhhmm." Nick laughs.

"He's just... really comfortable and cozy." I say snuggling against Luke a bit more.

"Sure thing Clem." He laughs.

"Nick, shut up! I don't like Luke! He's a lot older then me, that's weird! I like Luke as a friend!" I snap.

"If you don't like him then why are you getting so defensive?" He crosses his arms and smirks.

"Because you're annoying me!" I growl.

I hear Luke moan and move a little.

"Don't talk so loud, you'll wake the baby." Nick laughs.

"SHUT UP!" I shout.

"What's-- what's going on?" Luke asks rubbing his eyes as he tried to wake up.

"Nicks being an asshole." I say glaring at him.

"Why's Nick being an asshole?" Luke chuckles.

"Only because I'm stating the obvious." He says.

"Shut up Nick!" I shout.

"What's the obvious?" Luke asks.
