The Catch-Up (Natsu x Reader)

Chapter 59

(Your PoV)
'H-He uses Fire Magic..?!'

My eyes widened as I attacked.

The challenger shot a big ball of fire out of his fist as I shot water, fire and rocks out of my fist.

The heat from his fire was so intense that it started to melt the stadium and everyone's clothing.

'Crap, my favorite cloak is melting.. Oh well. Now everyone will see who I am.'

Our combined attacks immediately knocked out the guild in front of us.

I smirked under my cloak and looked over at the challenger.

'I haven't smelled him yet.'

I took a few steps towards him and stopped when I was about 30 feet away from him.

I sniffed the air and smelled the scent coming from him.

My eyes widened as I smelled him.

At the same time, the hood of my cloak burned off.

"N-Natsu..?" "(Y/N)?" He and I said at the same time.

My eyes immediately filled up with tears as Natsu took off the hood of his cloak.

Seeing him made me cry even more.

'H-His hair is so long..'

I ran towards Natsu and engulfed him a tight hug.

(3rd PoV)

"Whoaa! It's Natsu Dragneel and (Y/N) (L/N)!" The announcer said, making the whole audience erupt in cheers once again.

"Dovey.." Natsu mumbled into (Y/N)'s head/hair.

(Y/N) hugged him tighter and buried her face into his chest.

"I-I missed you so much..!" (Y/N) sobbed out.

In an instant, (Y/N) teleported herself and Natsu out of the arena and out of the stadium.

She teleported them to a clear spot outside of the stadium.

(Y/N) broke the hug and looked up at Natsu with tears still in her eyes.

She then slapped him, leaving a red mark on his left cheek.

Natsu's eyes widened as he realized what (Y/N) did.

"Why di-"

"You idiot!" (Y/N) yelled as more tears ran down her face.

"Why did you.. Why did you leave me all alone?!" She yelled as she clenched her fists.

Natsu blinked, still in shock from (Y/N) slapping him.

'(Y/N)'s never.. She's never slapped me before..' He thought.

"Damn it Natsu, answer me!" (Y/N) said loudly.

"Huh?" Natsu said as he shook his head.

(Y/N) tightened her fists as she looked at Natsu with tears still streaming down her face.

"Why did you leave me all alone?!" She asked.

Natsu looked at her with a confused look, "Alone? Dovey-"

"You have no right to call me that." (Y/N) said sternly, interrupting him.

Natsu's eyes widened as soon as he heard (Y/N).

"Wh-What do you mean?!" He asked frantically.

"I've always called you that..!" Natsu said.

(Y/N) looked at the ground as she wiped her face, "You've called me that whenever you were with me and everyone else. When you actually cared about me."

"What? But I do care about you!" Natsu said loudly.

(Y/N) shrugged him off, opened her bag, and took out another cloak.

She took off the cloak she was wearing, put it back in her bag, and put on her other cloak.

"That's what they all say. Then they turn around leave. Just like what you did." (Y/N) said as she turned around and put on the hood of her cloak, covering her head and face.

As Lucy approached Natsu and (Y/N), (Y/N) ran off.

"Hey (Y/N), wait!" Natsu said as he reached for her.

But (Y/N) was already long gone.

(Your PoV)
'That jerk! Who does he think he is? Thinking he can just walk back into my life and think that everything's okay?!'

I shook my head as I teleported to Magnolia.

I walked around town until I was in front of Fairy Tail's old guild hall.

'I miss everyone.. Erza, Gray, Wendy..'

I walked away from the guild and headed back to my house.

After I got home, I took a quick shower and took a small nap.

(Night Time)
"Dang, it's already dark outside.."

I was downstairs making dinner for myself.

After the noodles were done cooking, I decided to let it cool off, so I went into the living room.

I curled up onto the couch and brought my knees up to chest.

"I was really mean to Natsu.." I mumbled.

"I didn't mean it though. I know that he's the person that cares about me the most.."

I kept mumbling to myself until I heard noise coming from my room.

'Now I know that it's not one of my pets because they're all here with me.'

I sniffed the air, but couldn't smell anyone.

I quietly went up the stairs and up to my room.

I threw open my door and froze.

"Natsu."
