The Catch-Up (Natsu x Reader)

Chapter 62

(3rd PoV, 4 days until (Y/N)'s birthday)

"(Y/N)! I'm going on a job request thing with Happy! I'll be back soon!" Natsu yelled from (Y/N)'s front door.

(Y/N) walked downstairs and walked over to Happy and Natsu.

"A job request? How did you get a job request? Fairy Tail was disbanded." She asked.

"When Happy and I were on our journey, people recognized us and asked us to help them from time to time. They even tell other people about us!" Natsu said excitedly.

"Yeah, but they're always nervous when we go. Not sure why though." Happy said as he and Natsu shrugged.

(Y/N) sweat-dropped, "Hm yeah. I wonder why."

"Anyways, be careful." (Y/N) said as she pecked Natsu on the lips and kissed Happy on the top of his head.

"Yes m'am!" They both said before racing off.

(Y/N) shook her head with an amused look and closed the door.

(Your PoV)
I walked upstairs and into the guest room.

'This isn't much of a guest room with all of this in it..'

I shrugged, "Nobody has visited me in a year. Until now."

I stood in the middle of the room and sighed.

'Man.. Where do I start?'

I grabbed a blank piece of white yard paper and taped it on a free spot of one of the walls.

I grabbed a (Favorite Color) marker and wrote 'Reunited Guild Members/Friends.'

I then walked over to the Team Natsu section and took off the pictures of Lucy, Natsu, and Happy.

I walked back to the new section and taped the pictures of Lucy, Natsu, and Happy.

"Reunited with 3, now just a whole bunch left." I mumbled.

I sat on the ground and looked around.

"I just want everyone to be here for my birthday.. Or at least a few.." I said out loud as tears filled my eyes.

I covered my face with my hands and began to cry silently.

'I just want my friends back.. My nakama.. I know I have Lucy, Happy, and Natsu, but I want everyone else to be here with me..'

"Hey, why are you crying (Y/N)?"

"It's almost your 18 birthday (Y/N)!"

I heard familiar voices say from behind me.

I turned around and gasped.

"Gray? Erza?" I whispered out.

"(Y/N) you shouldn't be crying." Gray said with a frown.

"You have no reason to cry (Y/N). You're growing up." Erza said with a smile.

"Please don't cry anymore (Y/N)-san!" I heard Wendy say as she suddenly appeared.

'Wait a minute.. How did she just suddenly appear next to Erza?'

"You guys.." I began.

I closed my eyes and then opened them.

Gray, Erza, and Wendy were gone.

"I.. Was just imagining them..?" I mumbled out.

I looked around again and sighed.

I stood up and wiped my face.

'I have to keep looking for them. I need more information.'

I walked out of the room and went to the bathroom.

I stood in front of the mirror and pulled up my shirt.

"I want abs.." I mumbled.

"But I like food too.."

I shrugged and change into running clothes.

After I grabbed my phone, I went downstairs and grabbed a water bottle.

I whistled and Joey, Kyle, and Regan all came running towards me.

"Ready to go to work guys?" I asked with a grin. They all barked and we left the house.

Oh, did I mention that I worked? I guarded Magnolia at night. No one gets away with anything when I'm around.

Joey, Kyle, and Regan help me too.

(3rd PoV)

A group of guys were bothering two girls when (Y/N) and her helpers got near.

"Come on, don't be like that- Shit! (Y/N)'s here!" One of the guys said.

"Let's get out of here!" Another guy said.

"I don't want to get beat up again!"

"Let's go!"

"She's going to kill us!"

In an instant, the boys all ran away, leaving the two girls.

"Thank you (Y/N)-senpai!" One of the girls said with a grin.

"You saved us! I thought we were goners!" The other girl said.

(Y/N) nodded and off.

As she walked off, she only had one thing on her mind.

'I wonder what Natsu is doing.'
