Meeting Their Parents (Part 2)

Zane P.O.V
We walk in and get stared down. My dad goes off to talk to the principle along with Vylad and my mom.
"Sorry about that.. Dad doesn't like many young girls." I says.
"No big deal. We're friends, and that's what matters." Ashley says.
"Yeah!" Garroth and I say together. They both laugh. Then, Aphmau and I go to math and Ashley and Garroth head off to their classes. We sit down next to each other and start to talk.
"So, why did you move out?" Aphmau asks after we get settled.
"Living at home was just too complicated." I says. "Being the middle child was difficult. So, I decided to leave home early and move here."
"What made you choose Pheniox Drop?" I ask.
"Well.. It just felt like something was calling to me in this town. So, I followed my gut. That probably sounds weird." I says.
"Not at all, I understand completely Zane." She say.
"You always understand, that's why I love being your friend. I can talk to you no matter what subject." I says. She smiles.
"Of course, that's what friends are for right?" I ask. I smile and hug her. She hugs back. We let go after a second and of course, Dad is right outside the door. He runs in, slaps Aphmau and pushes heronto the ground. I jump up onto the chair.
"YOUNG ZANE! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK TO THIS GIRL EBER AGIAN!" My dad yells.
"No." I says quietly.
"What did you say?" He asks.
"I said.. No! Aphmau is one of my best friends and you aren't going to change that. She is awesome, and sweet, and the best friend I could ever have!" I says louder.
"SHE'S AN IRRESPONSIBLE BRAT!" Zane's dad yells.
"AND YOUR AN ANNOYING IDIOT WHO THINKS GIRLS AREN'T SPECIAL!" I yells. Dad grabs a knife and cuts aphmaus arm.
"Stupid Girl, influencing my son!" Dad says. She screeches, her arm starting to bleed heavily. I punch dad square in the face. dad cuts aphmau again then storms out. I bend down next to her.
"Aphmau..I'm so sorry." I says.
"C..can you t..take me to the nurse." She asks, barley able to speak. I pick her up bridal style and carry her out the room. Everyone watches and stares, but I push through them and into the office.
"You're going to be ok Aph." I says. I lay her down on a stretcher. The nurse comes out.
"Oh my!" The nurse says. She rushes Aphmau into a room, me right at her heels. We walk in and she starts to heal Aphmau.
"Yikes, that looks like it hurt." The nurse says.
"Yeah." Aphmau says. I watch, not able to say anything. The nurse finishes healing Aphmau.
"Now, I would like you to stay around this boy at all times, for today at least. Just to make sure you stay ok." The nurse says. Aphmau nods and stands up. We say thank you and walk out. We decide to ditch Math and head out to the big tree in the courtyard. We climb up it and sit down.
Aphmau P.O.V
"I'm so sorry." Zane says.
"Don't be. It wasn't your fault." I say.
"I thought..I thought I was going to lose you.." He says.
"I'm right here. I'll always be right here with you." I say. He pulls me closer to him.
"Can we just stay here?" He asks.
"Yeah." I say. Suddenly, he kisses me on the lips. We kiss for a minute, then he pulls away.
"If you're going to die, I got that out of the way." He says. We both start laughing and we sit in the tree, watching the sun.
