Castiel x Reader

There's a knock on your door at midnight. You grab your gun off the table and go to answer it. You open it.
"Cas?" You ask, slightly surprised.
"Hello, Y/N." He says.
"Hey, Cas. What're you doing here?"
"Dean said I had to leave."
"Why would Dean do that?"
"He didn't say."
"Come in."
He follows you in the house, looking around.
"Cas, is that blood on your clothes?"
"Um... Yes."
You run a hand over your face and sigh. "Of course it is. Okay. Go get undressed. I'll get you a change of clothes."
You go into the room your parents called theirs before they were killed to get some of your father's clothes.
While Cas is showering, you get on your phone to rebuke a certain Winchester.
"Hey." Dean says.
"What did you do to my baby?" You demand.
"I'm sorry, what?" He says. "You have a kid? It's not mine, is it?"
"What? No. I meant Cas."
"Oh, Cas! Right. That's a long story that I can't explain right now."
"You'd better explain, or I swear--"
"He can take care of himself, Y/N. He's not a kid. Is he okay?"
"He's fine. He's with me."
"Oh, okay--What did you say?" He says to somebody else.
"Gotta go." He says to you after a second.
"Dean Winchester--"
"Catch up later?" He says, and hangs up.
Cas returns a few minutes later and sits on the other end of the couch.
"Your home is very clean." He comments.
"Thanks." You smile.
"Did you put up wardings--"
"Yeah."
"Are you all right, Y/N?"
"Fine, why?"
"Because I know you aren't."
"Cas--"
"That's why I left."
"What?"
"I don't like your pain."
"I'm sorry--"
"No, I didn't mean to offend you. I just wanted to offer explanation so you wouldn't think me rude."
"I never thought you rude." You shrug. "Anyways. Do you want to watch a movie?"
"Um... Sure." He answers?
You fall asleep with your head in his lap.
"Dean? Dean? What do I do?" You hear him say.
"Oh, yes. I suppose I could. Y/N's asleep." Cas continues. "She's... on me." He says. "Let her sleep? But-- Okay. Thank you. Goodbye."
"Cas?" You ask, not opening your eyes.
"Yes?"
"Am I making you uncomfortable?"
"No. Sleep."
When you awake the next morning, Cas is asleep.
You're sitting at the table drinking coffee when he comes in, his hair rumpled.
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty." You say.
"Good morning... Cinderella."
"I'm about to go to the store. Do you want to come?" You ask, resisting a smile.
"I'd better not."
"Okay. Be careful not to, you know, burn the place down. Call if you need anything."
"Okay."
When you return, he's watching Judge Judy. He turns it off and comes to assist you with putting things away.
"Hey, Cas? May I ask you a question?" You ask once you're finished.
"Of course, Y/N."
"Have you ever kissed a girl?"
"No."
"Would you like to?"
"I.... Don't know."
"Do you want to kiss me?"
"I think so."
You step in front of him. "Are you sure?"
He nods.
You pull his head down and kiss him. To your surprise, he reciprocates.
"Did I... Do it right?" He asks once you pull away.
"You did." You smile, shocked. "Wow. You did it very right. Who taught you that?"
"I learned it from the pizza man." He says, as though that's a normal saying.
You decide not to question it. This is Cas you're talking about, after all. "Hey, Cas?" You ask.
"Yes, Y/N?"
"You know I love you, right?"
"I know you do."
You smile and step away. "I'm gonna start dinner."
"Hey, Y/N?" He calls quickly as you're walking into the kitchen.
"Yes, Cas?"
"I love you too."
You smile. "I know you do."
"Hey, Y/N?"
"Yes, Cas?"
"May I show you something?"
You give a kind of wary look. After being around Dean so long, there's a multitude of things that could follow that statement, not all of them innocent or good--or bad, for that matter, but you never know.
"Sure, Cas."
"I won't show you my true form, because it might kill you." He says casually.
"Okay."
"But would you like to see my wings?"
"I'd love to see your wings."
And then you can. You blink, awed.
"What?" He asks. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, Cas. They're... beautiful."
"Thank you." He says, and they're gone.
You grin. "Some might say they're... angelic."
"Well, I am an angel, so they should be..."
