Dead in the Water (6)

Kylie's POV

"It's late Dean, you sure you want to stop now." I asked scratching the back of my neck tiredly. The ride in the Impala to and from was a pain in my ass and I was tired, but the concern for Lucas was a big concern. Although, I don't want to risk the family's life, I didn't think anything was going to happen this late.

Dean gave me a goofy look before ringing the doorbell.

"Ass-" I started but was interrupted when the door was swung open to reveal a terrified looking Lucas.

"Lucas? Lucas!" Dean caught him, but took off running down the hallway in the house.

Dean, Sam, and I took off running and found Lucas pounding on a closed door. Dean took Lucas in his arms and pulled him away while Sam and I focused on the door, pounding against it until we got it opened.

Sam ran to the bath tub and struggled to pull Andrea out of the tub. One minute her head was up out of the water and the next she was struggling against the pull and was under the water. Sam let out a battle cry as he finally collapsed with Andrea on top of him, her coughing and struggling to catch her breath.

I quickly grabbed a towel and covered her up before checking her for injuries, and when I found none, I sagged onto the floor with relief before looking at Dean who  was staring at the scene before him with shock.

"Dean?" I called.

He blinked a couple of times before taking Lucas to his room.

I let out a sigh and ran a hand over my face as I listened to the soft whimpers of Andrea's crying.

"Can you tell me?" Sam asked as the light of dawn broke through the window.

"No." Andrea shook her head and wiped her eyes. "It doesn't make any sense."

I walked over to Dean who was looking through some old scrap books.

"I guess we aren't done here." I smiled sadly at Dean.

"Yeah I guess not." He nodded.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I rubbed his shoulders.

"Yeah, it's just hard." He admitted and I sighed.

"I know Dean, I know." I wanted to hold him, to tell him that everything was alright, but Dean Winchester was a hard man when it came to his emotions.

Dean pulled out a scrapbook that had a picture of a young Jake at age 12. He opened the book and together we scanned the pictures until we came across one of  Peter, next to Jake.

"Do you recognize the kids in these pictures?" Dean asked Andrea.

Andrea sniffled and took a look. "Um . . . no. I mean, that's my dad, he must've been 12 in these pictures." She explained.

"Chris Barr's drowning, the connection wasn't Bill Carlton, it was the sheriff." Dean told Sam and I.

"What about Chris?" Andrea asked. "And my dad?  What are you talking about?" She was confused and becoming hysterical.

Dean sighed and looked away. "Lucas?" He called and I turned to see what he saw.

Lucas was staring out the window, in a daze, and almost he was seeing something that wasn't there.

"Lucas what is it?" Dean asked.

Lucas walked out the door quietly and we followed him.

"Lucas, honey?" Andrea called to her son.
