Provenance (2)
Kylie's POV
The whole way to the motel, Dean wouldn't stop teasing Sam, but I didn't say anything.
The whole thing was interesting actually. The way Sam would turn a light red, his neck getting hives with every comment Dean had made.
"Grant Wood, Grandma Moses?" Dean questioned as we got to our room.
"Art history course. It's good for meeting girls." Sam shrugged.
Dean unlocked the door before looking up at his brother. "It's like I don't even know you." He shook his head before pushing open the door.
Our room was pretty much a 70's disco fantasy room with the black and white panel walls and the way the room was set up in glam giving it a Saturday Night Fever feel. It made me grin while the boys just shrugged it off.
We moved to the beds, dumping our stuff on them. "What was . . . providence?" I asked confused.
"Provenance." Sam corrected, "It's a certificate of origin, like a biography. You know we can us them to check the history of the pieces, see if any of them have a freaky past." He explained.
"Huh." Dean nodded. "Well, we're not getting anything out of chuckles, but Sarah . . " He trailed and snapped his fingers at Sam, smirking.
Sam smirked back, looking down at his bag. "Yeah, maybe you can get her to write it all down on a cocktail napkin."
Dean and I glanced at each other before chuckling.
"Not me." Dean laughed.
"No,no,no pick ups are your thing Dean." Sam laughed.
"Not anymore." Dean shook his head, "And besides, it wasn't my butt she was checking out."
Sam and Dean exchanged a brotherly look before Sam shook his head.
"In other words, you want me to use her to get information?"
"Sometimes you gotta take one from the team." Dean shrugged. "Call her."

After calling Sarah, Sam took a quick shower while I laid on the bed, my arm thrown over my face.
"I look stupid!" Sam called from the bathroom.
I let out a chuckle and uncovered my face. "It can't be that bad." I sat up on the bed just as I heard the door unlock.
Sam opened the door slowly before coming out, dressed up in a get-up besides his usual flannel.
"You look great Sam." I said as I stood up, looking him up and down.
I walked up to him slowly and smoothed out his black jacket. "I know Dean was kind of pressuring you, are you going to be okay to do this?" I glanced up at him.
Sam gave a small shrug. "I'm just getting information."
I smiled sadly and patted his chest. "It's okay if you like her." I said gently.
Sam pulled away from me and cleared his throat. "I'm just doing this so Dean doesn't have to."
I bit my lip and sat on the edge of the bed. "Right. Well I appreciate it." I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly. "Have fun tonight Sam." I said gently. "Seriously, you deserve it."
Sam only nodded. "Right."
Dean walked in at the moment and tossed the keys to Sam with his free hand, his other hand held a bag of burgers. "Here." He said as Sam caught his keys. "Be easy with her."
