Glenn was on his way to the capital city. He sent a letter to his father, the emperor, that he will definitely make it to the banquet. He only encountered some mishaps along the way. But the truth is that, he was planning the stage of his battlefield.

"Are you sure they're also on their way?"

A man dressed in black robe was riding a horse beside Glenn's carriage.

"Yes, your Highness. A message was sent over and it reported their whereabouts. They are near the capital city already but halted their journey as they are waiting for your orders."

Glenn smiled devilishly.

"Good. Send them a message. Scatter and make sure to not arouse any suspicion; slowly infiltrate the capital city. We will commence our operations right after the banquet."

The black robed man paid his respects before leaving.

"Let's see. I wonder how the plans on the other side are going."

Meanwhile, the envoy of the Fay kingdom is currently on their way to Winsterein kingdom.

They stopped at one of the towns and decided to stay in an inn. Fortunately, the inn they stayed at also has a diner on the ground floor. They decided to eat there, too.

"How many rooms would you like to book, young sir?"

The owner was smiling widely. Business was going smoothly these past few days since a lot of people are on their way to the capital city and some of the travelers stopped by at their town.

"Three rooms."

Lennard was the one talking to the owner. He was wearing some kind of cap which somehow covers his face. The owner hasn't noticed that this envoy was actually the Fay kingdom's. Lennard and Leona didn't take any offense. In fact, they prefer such thing since it'll be tiring to talk to people as members of the royal family.

"These are the keys to the rooms upstairs. There are also other guests in this inn and as such, we remind everyone to please get along well. You may also order food inside your room or eat in our diner."

Leona smiled and said 'thank you'. The owner only replied with a 'you're welcome'. Perhaps, if the owner saw Leona's face, he will be stunned. Currently, Leona is wearing a veil to hide her face. This is to prevent a ruckus. It is not that Fay kingdom boasts about her looks but in reality, she really is beautiful. No one in Fay kingdom can rival her beauty. That is also why they prevent her from going out of the royal palace.

The siblings decided to eat first before retiring for the night. The moment Lennard and Leona sat down in a table, Leonard went close to them and whispered something in Lennards ears. The table that Lennard and Leona were currently sitting also has guards sitting on it. The other guards were either sitting in a nearby table or outside, taking care of the carriages and horses.

Leonard is wearing an ordinary guard's outfit. He also dyed his hair before their travel so that it'll never be the same with Lennard's and Leona's.

"This place looks safe. There are a lot of people going to the capital city. Also, the other guards were stationed to protect our carriages and horses."

Lennard only nodded. He looked around and the diner seems to be normal. Some people were eating while others were drinking alcohol. It is already night time so no wonder a number of people started drinking.

When the food was placed on their table and before Lennard and Leona can take a bite, it was tasted first for poisons. When the guards acknowledged that it was safe, they started digging in.

However, not long after, Leonard felt something. He felt his instinct acting like there's a danger. He stopped eating and quietly observed his surroundings. This didn't escape Lennard and he also stopped eating and observing their surroundings. The guards with them were also alarmed seeing the two princes like that. Leona, on the other hand, didn't care. She was only hungry.

"I feel there's something amiss."

It was Leonard who first spoke.

Looking around, the normal atmosphere within the diner was still the same. The people inside were doing their own thing.

Well, until one by one, those people fainted. Other people seeing those who fainted panicked but before they could even scream or escape out of the inn, they also fainted; even the owner who was at the counter fainted. The guards took a battle stance and were ready for any ambush and readying for an escape route for the royal siblings. When they're about to move, Leona fainted and was caught by Lennard. Then from that moment, guards started to feel different and started fainting.

"Sh*t. My sight is becoming blurry. What is happening?"

"I can't feel my knees at all!"

"Is this in the food? I'm finding it hard to breathe."

"I can't take it any..."

One by one the guards with the royal siblings were going down. Only those with higher level than normal were staying strong.

"Prince. You must get out of this inn right away!"

Then, the royal twins looked at each other. They understood that they wouldn't be able to do anything anymore if they didn't escape immediately.

Right when they're about to exit the inn, Lennard suddenly half-knelt and almost dropped Leona. His complexion was changing to a paler one. Also he finds it hard to breathe and he felt that his spiritual essences were chaotic. The more he tries to circulate them, the more they become chaotic.

Leonard immediately went to Lennard and assisted him. However, Lennard finally dropped to the floor. He was clutching the clothes around his chest area. He can't even speak because of the pain he was feeling. He feels like his heart was about to burst.

Leonard was extremely worried. If anything happens to Lennard he swears he won't be able to forgive himself. Because he was their strategist and tactician, he was supposed to know that something bad will happen yet, he wasn't able to; and seeing his twin brother in that state only makes him hate himself more.

Lennard's complexion is turning from pale white to purple. This is not good. It shows that he was nearing death!

The guards who were stronger than normal and was supposed to pave an escape route for them already fainted before Lennard. It is now only Leonard who can freely move but he also started feeling heavy.

When he was about to carry both his siblings out of the inn, he heard a voice.

"Stop."

Then,before he could even look properly at the person in front of him, he fainted onthe spot. -tbc
