Chapter 37

KEVIN'S POV

"Alright I won't say anything. Now what do you want?" I grumbled.

"Now calm down. There are many things I want, but life doesn't work so that we all get what we want, correct?" The silky voice said. "If you want Keith back alive, I am willing to strike a deal."

"Continue."

"Put it this way, you will be my inside man. When ever I ask you, you give me information on the Magan and the Gora."

"And if I refuse?" I asked.

"Do you think I won't kill Keith? I will kill him, no hesitation," the voice said, turning dangerous. "Keith why don't you say hello?" the line went silent for a few seconds before I heard something.

"Kev, listen man you can't-" Keith started before being but off by a yell of agony. "If they are evil queen don't be snow white."

"Keith where are you?" I asked.

"Not important, and I don't fucking know. Don't take the offer," he said before screaming in pain.

"Keith!" I yelled.

"You see now? He is currently being tortured. I don't even know if he will end up the same," the original voice said.

"What happens if I tell the gangs?" I asked.

"Well, then not only do I kill the two gangs, I will murder your family and your friends. You know I have heard that one of your friends is very pretty," the person said. "She has brown hair, brown eyes, is on the shorter side and is smart."

"You leave her out of this, she has nothing to do with this," I growled.

"Kevin we are going," Dave called before slamming the front door shut.

"Aw, you want me to leave pretty little Rachel out of this? But she is already knee deep," the person said.

"You touch her I swear I will kill you," I replied.

"Then you do as I say. What ever information I ask for, you will give it."

"Deal," I said firmly.

"Good. Keith will be released soon. Goodbye."

The call ended with a beep. How could I have accepted? Sure Keith is my best friend, or more of a brother, but the gang was my family to. Saving one life could mean killing everyone else.I

I thought a little bit about the call. He had mentioned snow white and the evil queen. Honestly it made no sense, but then I realized he was using something we had once read. Snow white had trusted the evil queen, and that got her into a fucking coma.

So I shouldn't trust the bitch, but if I don't trust her Keith dies. God dammit, how did everything get so fucked so fast? 

RACHEL POV

Nate, Aiden and I watched 3 movies. Or I watched 2 and a half because I fell asleep halfway through the last one. 

Then I heard a thud. I woke up and looked around. Aiden was asleep on the couch but Nate was gone. I sat up and looked around. I heard a voice in the hall. I quietly got up and walked towards the door. I peeked through the crack of the slightly open door and saw Nate walking around.

"No. She isn't part of this," I heard Nate say. There was a pause before he spoke again. "Two things, one how did she get involved in this? And two, let Charlie handle this. What? Hospital? Holy shit, what happened? Listen I will come and visit her as soon as I can. Yeah, talk later. Bye."

"Who was that? I asked opening the door fully.

"Uh, just a friend," he laughed.

"Sure," I said, narrowing my eyes.

"Yes Rachel, I have friends. Geez I am not a complete loner," Nate pouted. "You should sleep." I looked at the clock and nodded.

"Good night," I said. He patted my head and I walked upstairs to my room. I was lying in bed when I started thinking. He was always a bad liar, but what was his reason for lying this time? In the past it was so I wouldn't attack him for taking the cookies I baked or he would lie to change the topic.

UNKNOWN POV

"Is it ready?" I asked.

"Everything is in place," she laughed.

"And he doesn't know who you are?" I said.

"Of course not. He has no idea."

"Good," I chuckled.
