After swearing that I wouldn't mention anything to anyone, Charlie and the rest of their gang let me go. Kevin drove me home because Nate needed to stay behind for some reason. As I was getting onto his bike I looked up at the sky.
"You know what's funny?" I asked him. "Now it feels like years ago that we were supposed to be having a tutoring session. Now I am in your world of fighting, gangs and all. And now it also make sense as to why your grades suffer. You are in a gang."
"Yeah. But if it weren't for me failing, You wouldn't have to tutor me," he smiled. "So me being in a gang is a good thing."
"Is this how you earned your bad boy reputation?" I asked.
"Yes," he whispered in my ear. I turned around and he was right behind me. His black leather jacket was unzipped and underneath he was wearing a white shirt with the outline of a Stormtrooper from Star Wars. His tall stature towered over me and he leaned his head down. I stood on my toes and then his lips connected with mine.
At first the kiss started slow, and our lips moved in sync. I felt his arms snake around my waist and pull me closer to him. I ran my hands through his soft hair and the kisses became not just a soft kiss, but a fiery one full off passion. I then registered what was happening and pulled away. He stepped back, and both us were breathing heavily.
"I'm sorry," he said. "Let's just get you home." I nodded and got on the bike. He got on and started driving. I wrapped my arms around him and leaned my head onto his back. The drive back home was short, and thank god it was. Even though we were outside, the awkwardness was practically suffocating me. He pulled into my driveway and I quickly got off. I started walking to my door when I heard him.
"Hey Rachel," Kevin started. "I'm sorry. About you getting kidnapped, and the kiss and everything. I was stupid."
"Kevin, we'll talk about this later," I said. "Aiden already left for college, so I should at least go and see my parents."
"Okay," he smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow." I nodded and walked into my house.
"Hey Rachel!" Mom greeted me from the couch.
"Hi Mom," I smiled. It was nice to pretend that things were normal. "Aiden went back to college?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"Yeah," dad said walking into the room. "I thought you were on a trip with some friends?"
"Oh, yeah bad weather where we went," I lied quickly. I shocked myself, seeing how easily the lie flowed out. Dad went and sat next to mom, and grabbed a book.
"Okay. Do you want something to eat?" mom asked.
"No," I said. I walked to my room and shut the door. My bed was made, and sitting on top of it was a black book that looked like the book that Aiden and I would put pictures in. I opened the cover and a white envelope was there. I opened it and started reading.
Dear Rach,
So you are probably wondering why I am delivering a message through our book that through a text or email. Well first off, I have your phone and it is with me so texting won't work.
Now why do I have your phone when your kidnappers took it? I broke in and took it. Why? I was pissed. Yes now you know that I am involved with all this as well.
We need to talk soon. 1 so I can explain and 2 so you can have your phone back.
Tomorrow after school meet me at Rios, the diner. Tell Paul that you are there to meet me.
Sorry I couldn't be home to see you today. Nate told me that you were alive and well.

I put the letter down, my hands trebling. Aiden. My freaking brother. Aiden was part of this, and I had no idea? To be fair I didn't know much, but I was still shocked. Aiden would be the last person I suspected to be involved with this. I turned off my light and tried to go to sleep, but I couldn't. Not with my thoughts going at over 100 miles per hour.
Around 1am I finally got tired and dozed off, worried, excited and unprepared for the next day.

Hey guys, sorry that this update is short and it took forever.
