I don't know how long she kept throwing random questions at me, but by the end of it, I had two black eyes, multiple bruises and some small cuts.

"Gavin," the girl yelled. "Take her back to her room."

Gavin walked in and led me out, making sure to not harm me any more. Once we reached the room he guided me to a mattress.

"Was this here earlier?" I asked. "If it was I swear I'm blind."

"It wasn't," he laughed. "Don't worry. I'll bring you some ice for your bruises."

"Thanks." He walked out and I laid down, diving into my thoughts. Was Kevin worried about me? Did he even know that I never made it home? What about my parents? What were they thinking?

KEVIN'S POV

"Charlie, Keith knows where they were earlier. Why don't we send a few people there?" I asked.

"They can't be that stupid," James muttered. "But if you want to go, I'll come with you."

"All four of us will go," Keith said. Zack nodded and stood up.

"Go ahead you four," Charlie said. "Report anything out of place and everything you find."

"Yes ma'am," Zack smirked. "Let's go. We can't lose too much time." The four of us walked out and started our bikes up. Keith led the way, and eventually we reached a gray building.

"Seems deserted to me," I said when we pulled up. "You sure this was the place?"

"Shut up," Keith said. I went silent and we heard a crash from the building. The four of us sprinted towards the building and barged in. Keith and Zack went to check upstairs, James staid on the ground floor, and I went to the lower level. I looked around, but there was no one there.

"Yo, what the fuck!" someone shouted upstairs. I went upstairs and saw James holding a boy by the back of his shirt. He was scrawny compared to us.

"Dude let me go," the boy said. "I'm just here because someone told me I would get paid 500 dollars if I grabbed a box from this place."

"And what's in the box?" James asked. The kid was silent and Zack walked forward, cracking his knuckles, ready to punch.

"I don't want to hurt you, but I will," Zack threatened. The boy was terrified, and I felt bad for him. He was just there to get some extra cash.

"Alright, the truth is, I don't know what's in it," he said. "You can open it, I don't care. All I know is  that I was supposed to take this box to some house."

Keith moved to open the box, and once he saw what was inside, his eyes widened. I walked over and felt my heart stop. In the box was a black box with a countdown clock and wires coming out the back. It was pretty obvious what the box had.

That boy was delivering a bomb.
