Maya had barely even held it together before she made it to Zay's room. Thankfully Lucas was out with Riley so she didn't have to worry about him interrupting her as she went on about how she screwed up.

"Maya?" Zay asked as he opened the door and saw his friend in tears.

"I didn't know who else to go too." She said her voice cracking. Zay immediately pulled her into his arms while closing the door. He let her cry for a few minutes before pulling away and asking what's wrong. "I cheated." She whispered. Zay closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"With Josh?" He asked seriously. Maya only nodded while she sat down on his bed. "Damn Maya. What are you going to do?" He asked her as he sat down on his desk chair and scooted to where he was In front of her. She shook her head.

"I don't know. I mean I have to tell him. That would be the right thing to do." She said which made Zay nod.

"I would want to know." He said. "What made you think that you could cheat? I mean that's so unlike you." He asked in disbelief. Maya was so against cheating.

"It's not like it was planned. Josh showed up at my door and he- he- I- we just kissed." Maya said by stumbling over her words. Zay shook his head.

"Okay tell me what happened from the beginning." Zay said. So Maya did. She told him everything that happened not missing one little detail. As she went on and on Zay got more and more shocked at what Maya was telling him.

"And now I'm here. Crying and hating myself." She finished. Zay shook his head.

"I'm glad that you two finally realized that you still love each other but I'm not exactly thrilled by the way it happened. Cheating is wrong, Maya and I'm not going to sit here and pretend that it is just because you're my friend." Zay said seriously.

"I wouldn't ask you to Zay. I knew it was wrong the second it happened." Maya said sighing. "I don't understand I thought I really liked Simon. I was really beginning to get over Josh."

"Well first of all you really should have never been with Simon in the first place if you were never really over Josh." Zay said making Maya look down at the ground. "And secondly, do you think that maybe you didn't like Simon as much as you thought? That maybe you just fell in love with the idea of liking someone that wasn't Josh?" Zay asked her making her tilt her head in confusion.

"I don't understand." She said.

"Maya you were very quick to latch on to Simon when he started to become your friend. Then after you saw how much Josh hated you two together you kind of took advantage of that. Maybe you were just tired of getting hurt by Josh everywhere you turned so you thought that maybe being with Simon was a safe place. That if your feelings could turn to Simon then eventually you would forget about Josh. You never really liked Simon more than a friend you just convinced yourself that you did so you could get over Josh." Zay explained. Maya started to tear up again.

"I'm a terrible person." She said as she started to sob. Zay sighed as he took her into his arms again.

"No, But you did screw up. And you need to tell Simon because it's not fair to let him keep going around and thinking that you two are good." He said as he rubbed her back.

"You think he'll be mad?" She asked. Zay chuckled.

"Well I don't think that he'll be thrilled, But Simons a good guy. I'm sure that after he cools off he'll understand." Maya nodded her head as she pulled back.

"Thanks Zay."

Meanwhile Josh wasn't getting the type of comforting Maya was.

"Are you stupid!? Have Cory and I taught you nothing when it comes to relationships!?" Shawn yelled at him.

"You said you were going to treat this conversation like my friend and not like Maya's father!" Josh yelled back as he started to get terrified.

"I am treating this as a friend! If I were talking to you as Maya's father you would already be dead!" Shawn retorted making Josh go silent.

Josh had texted Shawn and asked him if he could meet him at one of the parks downtown. Shawn of course said yes not really knowing what he was getting himself into.

"Look kid, I have had my fair shares of relationships. I have been through every situation you can think of but cheating! Everyone looses when cheating is involved." Shawn explained making Josh nod.

"Tell me about it." He mumbled sitting back on the bench he was on.

"I love Maya and I have seen her shed a lot of tears over you. Was I thrilled about this new boyfriend, no. I was actually hoping that you would come to your senses and break up with Adrianna to be with Maya. I mean anyone with two eyes could see that you two are meant for each other. But cheating isn't the way to do things, and you just put both you and Maya in a bad position when it comes to your reputations." Josh sighed and looked at the ground.

"How do I fix this?" He asked. Shawn sighed as he leaned back on the bench beside him.

"First thing you're going to do is tell Adrianna. Then you're going to confront Simon." Shawn explained making Josh lift his head up.

"Why do I have to do that? Isn't it Maya's job to tell him?" Josh asked making Shawn sigh and hit him upside the head with his palm.

"Yes Josh it is, but it says a lot about you as a man if you were to go to him and apologize for kissing Maya." Shawn said.

"I don't regret kissing Maya, Shawn. I regret us cheating, but I'm glad we kissed." Josh admitted. Shawn stared at him for a second.

"Take care of the problem on hand first Josh. Take care of the problem and then what happens between you and Maya after that is between you two." Josh swallowed hard before nodding his head and looking back down at the ground.

This was not the senior year he was hoping for.
