Hey y'all! So I'm in the middle of writing some drafts for some new Joshaya stories I'm thinking about publishing. What I need y'all to do is comment down below if you haven't already in my other stories, and let me know which story of mine you think is the best. That way I can know what to write with my other stories. I hope that makes sense. And then I can work on my other stories to try and make them better! Thanks guys, now on to the story!

Maya took a deep breath before raising a shaking hand to the door and knocking on it. She waited a few seconds while her heart was beating out of her chest, she was never good with confrontations. Suddenly the door flew wide open and a tired, frustrated and shirtless Simon stood at the other end.

"Hi." Maya said awkwardly and shyly as she brought her hand up to wave at him. Simon stood there staring at her. He was really shocked that she was here.

"Hi." He stated back with more bitterness then Maya had ever heard someone talk with.

"Can we talk?" She asked as she motioned to inside of his room. Simons eyes studied her carefully, Maya held her ground but she had to admit that his gaze was a little more than just intimidating. Simon moved to the side of his room and leaving just enough space for Maya to get past him. Maya smiled at him as she walked by and placed her stuff on his bed.

Simon closed the door and ran a hand through his hair. He grabbed a shirt from off the floor and threw it over his head. After he kicked some stuff that was on the floor into a corner he looked up to meet Maya's gaze. Nether of them said anything for a few minutes before Simon gave her a frustrated look.

"Well, are you going to say something or just stand there." He told her. Maya snapped out of her gaze and nodded her head.

"I- I was just hoping we could talk about what happened." Maya said making Simon scoff.

"I didn't want to talk about it when it happened and I don't necessarily have the craving urge to talk about it now." Simon told her as he crossed his arms and kept his gaze intensely on hers. Maya nodded her head, she knew she deserved this.

"Simon, we need to talk about this for our friendships sake." Maya told him causing him to scoff.

"You really think that we can be friends after what happened? Boy you really do live in a fantasy world." Simon told her while shaking his head. Maya swallowed hard as she felt the tears start to surface.

"Simon I'm sorry." Maya told him. Simon chuckled while nodding his head.

"She's sorry." He whispered more to himself then her.

"Look I don't blame you for feeling the way that you do because if it were me I'd probably be worse." Maya told him. Simon snapped his head up at her.

"Maya imagine that your "someday" happened with Josh after you turned 18. So instead of just breaking things off with you for Adrianna, he went ahead and did stuff with her behind your back. Imagine how you would feel because that's exactly where I'm at right now." Simon snapped at her making Maya nod her head in understanding.

"I get it, I do! Simon, please just listen to me." Maya begged him. Simon swallowed hard and looked at the ground. Maya took this as a green light. "I never meant for it to happen the way it did. After things ended I did some real soul searching and I realized that I never really had feelings for you." Though Maya probably shouldn't have worded it that way. Simon scoffed as he ran a hand through his hair an sat down on his desk chair. His eyes were becoming red from the tears that were threatening to come down.

"Oh this apology is becoming better and better." Simon told her making Maya become frustrated with him and her.

"Well if you would let me finish." She snapped immediately regretting it. Simon looked up at her and chuckled before throwing his hands up in surrender and leaning back in his chair. "Simon, you were being the greatest friend and math tutor that a girl could ask for. You were there for me with this whole thing with Josh and in the process I played that to my advantage. I didn't mean to take advantage of you but I was so desperate to get over my feelings for Josh that I just latched onto you and played you. I fell in love with the thought of falling in love with someone else, I'm a terrible person. I was just so taken with the fact that someone like you could fall for me the way that you did." Maya told her explanation with guilt and shame written all over her face. Simon looked up and stared at her with a blank expression.

"Maya, how could I not fall for you." Simon told her making her look up at him in confusion. "You were the only girl at this school that actually was willing to give me a chance after knowing about everything I did. You didn't judge or condemn me, you excepted the fact that I was screwed up and you still wanted to be my friend. I had never experienced that before, it was refreshing." Simon told her.

"Simon you will find that girl one day that will love you for you. But don't let me be the reason that you go back to drinking and messing with woman." Maya told him causing him to snap his head up.

"Is that what you think I'm doing?" He asked her with a shocked expression. Maya nodded her head confused.

"Farkle said that he had to stay with Zay this weekend because you had girls over every night." Maya told him. Simon sighed and nodded his head.

"I did. But not for the reasons you think. I went out to a party and drank, yes. I brought girls home both nights, yes. But I never let it go as far as sex. One girl and I made out for a while, but as soon as she reached for my buckle I stopped her. The other girl and I just sat in here and talked." Simon explained causing Maya to raise an eyebrow.

"Talk?" She asked smiling a little. Simon cleared his throat before nodding.

"Yes Maya, talked. It was actually refreshing, she didn't expect anything to happen and she didn't push either." Simon told her as he swung the chair from side to side.

"Well that's good. Maybe she's the girl your looking for then." Maya told him. Simon shook his head.

"Except I don't feel for her, at least not in the way I do for you." Simon mumbled the last part. Maya's heart broke at Simons statement. She had hurt him more than she would ever know.

"I-I don't know what else to say." Maya said honestly. She gave him an explanation and an apology. She didn't know how else to make this right. Simon shook his head.

"Not all of this is your fault. I knew you weren't fully over Josh and I still asked you out. I was setting myself up for heartbreak. I tried to ignore it but they eventually got to strong to just look past." Simon admitted to Maya making her look at the ground. She didn't want him to blame himself for this.

"We both made some mistakes. Do you think we could look past it and move on?" Maya asked hopefully causing Simon to bite his lip and let out a sigh.

"Maya I'll be honest with you. It's going to take me some time to be able to get fully past this. I liked you a lot and those feelings aren't something I can just toss away. I don't want to make things awkward between us by not being able to watch you and Josh together." Simon told her causing Maya to shake her head.

"Josh and aren't together." Maya told hi causing him to give her a confused look.

"Why?" He asked in a duh tone. Maya shrugged her shoulders.

"I just, I didn't want to hurt you more by you having to see us around campus together. Among other things." Maya told him causing Simon to chuckle.

"That's really stupid. Maya, just because I'm not over my feelings for you doesn't mean that your life has to suffer by that. You've come to me hundreds of times, crying about how you wanted nothing more than for Josh to notice you and not Adrianna. Now that you have that you're going to look past it because of me? Girl, do not make me slap you right upside the head." Simon told her with sass causing Maya to laugh. That sounded a lot like the Simon she knew.

"I just don't want to hurt you more than I already have." Simon smiled at her sadly.

"Don't worry about me, Maya. I'll get over it eventually. I'm a big boy, I can handle my emotions on my own." He told her. Maya stared at him for a minute before nodding.

"So, are we good?" She asked him. Simon hesitated before giving a small smile and standing up from his chair.

"Yeah, we're good." He told her. Maya's smile grew huge before she launched herself in his arms. Simon tensed up but slowly relaxed and hugged her back.

"It's good to have you back, buddy." Maya whispered in his ear. Simon didn't say anything as he took a deep breath and reminded himself that he would be fine. She wasn't his to cry over anymore.
