After Josh and Maya had their talks with Riley and Lucas, they went to meet up over at the taco truck that was on campus. Of course, Maya dropping off to get some tacos. They had talked about what had happened, and they both had to admit, it was nice being able to talk to the other one without having so much tension.

Riley and Lucas had met up on Sunday to talk about their relationship. Maya hadn't asked how it went, but considering that Lucas came and sat with them to eat lunch on campus with her, Riley, Farkle and Zay. She assumed that it had gone good.

Lucas didn't sit beside Riley, and they hardly said two words to each other. But Maya saw them share a smile before they went to eating and engaging in conversation. It wasn't much, but at least it was progress. Maya made a mental note to ask Riley about it later.

Sunday went by and before anyone knew it, Monday morning had arrived. Maya had just remembered the art project that Mr. Peterson had told her class about on Friday. She had remembered the offer that she had gotten, but completely forgot about the project. She still had to find a partner.

Waking up later than her alarm clock allowed her, Maya hurried to take a shower and change into clean clothes. She grabbed her bag and headed out the door, hoping that Simon didn't have a partner yet.

As she was walking into her art class, she ran into Simon. Smiling as she shifted her bag onto her shoulder, she let out a breath.

"Do you have a partner for the project yet?" Simon asked her with a tone of hope in his voice. Maya let out a breath of relief as she shook her head.

"I was just about to ask you to be my partner." She admitted. Simon grinned at her.

"That's great. Because I would have been screwed if you did have a partner. Macy, the girl that sits behind me, has been trying to ask me all weekend. I've been avoiding her." Simon admitted. Maya raised an eyebrow.

"Why? I've talked to her, she seems really nice." Maya told him.

"She is nice. But she's obsessed with me. Has been ever since my freshman year when we started this class together. I've done everything in my power the last three years to stay away from her." Simon was explained.

"Don't you think that maybe she just wants to be your friend?" Maya asked him. Simon stared at her.

"Maya, her roommate is dating one of my good friends. She told him, who told me that Macy has a picture of me that she keeps under her pillow and she practices kissing on it! Now I don't know if that's normal behavior for girls, but from a guys standpoint, it's creepy!" Simon exclaimed in a whisper. Maya rolled her eyes.

"Oh and you can't honestly tell me that when guys get a crush, they don't pretend to kiss and have fantasies about the girl they like?" Maya asked him with her arms crossed.

"Thats different." Simon argued.

"No. It's really not." Maya shook her head. "She has a crush. An innocent crush. Maybe you should try and talk to her sometime." Simon shook his head. Maya rolled her eyes before grabbing his bag and pulling him into the classroom. "Let's go."

"Good morning!" Mr. Peterson said as the class all fell into their seats. "Alright, I hope you all have your partners. For your final projects of the year, they will also be your end of year exams! My two seniors already have their projects so this does not concern you."

"Now, you'll have a month to do these projects. For the first two weeks, you guys are going to draw and paint your partner. Then the last two weeks, Vise Vera. Does everyone understand?" Maya was intrigued. They had never really tried to paint pictures of each other yet. They of course had focused on details of a human face, it definitely would be a challenge.

The rest of class went by briefly as Mr. Peterson allowed them to go ahead and draw/paint whatever they wanted. Maya liked classes where she was allowed to just do whatever came to her. Mr. Peterson was great at letting his students focus more on their own imagination.

At the end of class, Maya was walking out when Simon caught up with her and they fell in step beside each other as they were walking to their next class. Both of them would hit a crossroad eventually to where they would have to separate.

"So we're doing pictures of each other, huh? That's great because I already have an idea of what pose we could do." Simon said. His tone was playful and teasing which caused Maya to smile.

"Oh yeah? What's that?" She asked. Simon shrugged his shoulders.

"The titanic pose, of course!" He exclaimed. Maya's mouth dropped as she stopped walking and stared at him in shock. "You know, when Rose takes everything off and Jack draws her." He smirked.

"Naked?" Maya gasped out. "You want me to pose naked in front of you!" Maya exclaimed. She couldn't believe he would even suggest a thing, even if he was just joking. Simon scoffed and gave her a look.

"Not you. Me!" He exclaimed. "Come on, you can't tell me I wouldn't look good posing like her." He said as he started mimicking Rose's pose from the titanic.

The shock wore off of Maya's face and she suddenly started laughing. She hit Simon in the chest causing him to laugh as they both started walking again.

"You're horrible!" She laughed. Simon rolled his eyes but kept the smile on his face.

"You don't think that Mr. Peterson wouldn't get a laugh out of it?" He asked.

"Oh I'm sure everyone would get a laugh out of it." Maya teased him. They came to their crossroads and Simon waved at her before he took off to his next class. Maya shook her head, thinking how lucky she was to have such great friends in her life.
