Marcus' Point of View

It's been a few days now. I haven't left the hospital yet. I've been asking Martinus and dad to bring me food, and when they're busy I eat the cafeteria food. It's not the greatest food, but as long as I can stay with Morgana, I'm happy. The doctors keep telling me that she's improving but that doesn't mean she will wake up any time soon. Anna and Martinus come everyday for a few hours but then they go do things. I haven't left because I want to be the first face she sees when she wakes up. Morgana is my everything. I never got to tell her that before this accident though. She needs to know how big she is in my life. She needs to know that I love her and she's the most important thing in the world to me.

"Morgana, I love you. Please, wake up for me. Okay? I need to let you know how much you mean to me." I said to her. As I said that her heart monitor began to speed up as if she was waking up. I grabbed her hand, ready for her to wake up and see me. Instead of her waking up, the monitor went slow again. Not as if she was going to die but just indicating that she wasn't waking up.

"Please Morgana. Please wake up for me." I said once again, this time with tears in my eyes. She might be close to waking up but there's still that chance that she won't.

Morgana's Point of View

I still heard the dead air. Peace and quiet. Almost too quiet. I really want to wake up from this and for it all to be just a bad dream. I want to wake up peaceful in bed with Marcus laying next to me. I want this to all be one bad dream. I looked around, where I seemed to be. I was in a pitch black room.

"Marcus, are you there?" I shouted into the darkness. No response.

"Hello? Anyone there?" I shouted again. What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

"Please! Marcus?" I screamed. All I heard was my own echo respond to me. I began to cry. This was hopeless. If this is what happened after death, I want no part of it. I just want to see his face once more, before I'm gone forever.

Then, I heard mumbling. A soft familiar voice.

"Morgana, I love you. Please, wake up for me. Okay? I need to let you know how much you mean to me." As they kept talking, they got louder. It was Marcus.

"Marcus! Where are you?" I shouted. I started sprinting towards where Marcus' voice was coming from. As I was running, I felt as if I was more alive. As if I was waking up. I ran faster and faster, hoping that this would get me out of it, out of this torture. Then, I stopped. My world started spinning and I fell to the ground. I couldn't run anymore. I felt the life in me leave, I felt as if there was no hope in waking up.

Marcus' Point of View

I looked outside and it was dark, meaning that it was late. I've been trying not to read Morgana's journal, but I've realized that she wanted me to know what happened, maybe she knew who her kidnapper was? I pulled out the torn notebook and opened it carefully. As I opened it, I saw a bookmark on a page at the end. I flipped to that page and began to read. I read it to her.

"Marcus, I know who my kidnapper is-" I began to read. Reading the next line made me mad, really mad.

"-That son of a-" I said before dialing Martinus. He picked up and before he got the chance to say anything, I said, "Martinus, I know who tried to kill Morgana."
