i've lost a lot of readers the last month so this is sad

especially since i KNOW i'm meant to write stuff like this (stories that include no profanity, no sex, and nothing else that is wrong), that you can read for free. but i am losing readers so if there's something i can do to improve these imagines, something new y'all want to see, etc., let me know.

here's part two

"It was Harry," Peter said, sitting in the waiting room of the hospital. His elbows dug into his knees, his fingers pressed to his chin. "He took her and kept her."

"What?" Ned whispered loudly.

Peter looked at him and nodded.

"No," MJ said. "No, there's - there's no way. You're wrong."

"I'm not," he said. He looked at her sympathetically. "I'm sorry, M."

Michelle sat down on the chair next to Peter. She paled and took a deep breath, tears in her eyes. Ned frowned at her and shook his head.

"I can't believe it," Ned said.

"I know."

"Did you tell the cops?" he asked.

"Yeah. They can't find him."

"Jeez..." Ned put his hands on the back of his neck. "Harry, though? Why? I don't get it. He's not a psychopath!"

"Apparently he is," Peter said, "because he had her strapped to a table. She didn't look hurt or anything, but she was there."

"Maybe he didn't know," Ned said.

"Didn't know? He's the only one that lives there!"

"It's a big mansion, man!" Ned replied. "Maybe one of his butlers or maids are deranged and took her in."

Peter shook his head. "Don't take his side."

Ned sighed. "It's just... that's our friend."

"___ is, too. And she was taken by him. Why are you so hesitant to blame him?" Peter scoffed. "He took her! He held her for weeks! Who knows what he did to her. She could-" He pointed towards your hospital room and choked down on the words that were forcing their way up. "She could die."

"You said-"

"I said she wasn't hurt physically. But what if he hurt her mentally? Harry is a smart guy." He swallowed, feeling bile rise. "Anything could have happened to her. Gosh... Harry is a sicko. If I see him again, I'll-"

MJ scoffed. "Stop, this is Harry. There is a better explanation. There has to be." She was crying louder now. "I mean- he's - he's Harry."

The three friends stood still for a long moment, all full of uncertainty, anger, horror, and sadness. Peter was so worried for you, and he was angry at Harry. Angry at Ned for defending Harry. Angry at MJ for crying for him.

Harry was a psychopath. It sucked, it hurt to lose such a friend, but too bad. He was a psychopath. End of story, no remorse for him.

"Peter Parker?"

Peter shot up to his feet. The doctor stood in front of him, peeling blue gloves off of his hands. He sighed and fixed his glasses.

"She's awake," he said.

Peter sighed out of relief. "She is? Oh my gosh. Is she okay?"

"She's fine. Talking, even," the doctor said. But he looked grim.

Peter swallowed, preparing for the worst. So many bad things could have happened to you in that basement...

"But?" he pressed.

"She's talking about what happened. And what happened isn't what you told us happened, Mr. Parker." The doctor raised his chin.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

Two police officers stepped into the waiting room. They approached Peter and grabbed his arms, forcing them behind his back. "Peter Parker, you are under arrest for the kidnapping of ___ ___," one of them said.

"What?"

"Why - why is he being arrested? Harry Osborn-" Ned shook his head. "There's gotta be a mistake!"

"There isn't," the police officer said. "I'm sorry, kid." He said it to both Ned and Peter. Peter recognized him as one of the officers that was there the night Ben died. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything that you say can and will be held against you in law. You will be allowed an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be provided for you. Do you understand?"

"Yes," Peter breathed. No. No, I don't understand this at all.

As he was being pulled away, he saw someone else step into the waiting room. It was Harry. Harry, who hadn't been seen since Peter had found you. He was holding a vase that held dozens of expensive flowers.

"Can I see her?" he asked the doctor. He was sobbing.

"Yes," the doctor replied.

"No!" Peter exclaimed. He tugged against the police officers. They shouted warnings, but he couldn't let Harry near you. "Keep him away from her! He kidnapped her!"

"Mr. Parker!" the officer screamed. He kept struggling, so he was forced to the ground. The officer pressed his hand against his face and leaned down. His wrinkled brown skin and wide brown eyes looked at him with sympathy. "You cannot resist arrest."

Peter was crying. "Don't let him hurt her," he pleaded softly, tears dripping onto the tile floor. "Please."

"Mr. Parker," the officer said, his eyebrows pulling together in honest confusion. "You hurt her."

"I didn't," he said, his voice barely over a breath. "I didn't hurt her. I would never."

"Come on," he said. He and the other police officer pulled him up. Peter had no choice but to watch Harry walk into the hospital room that you were in.

As he was being pulled out, he glanced back at Ned and MJ. "Keep her safe, guys! Don't let him hurt her. Don't-"

"Mr. Parker," the police officer scolded, dragging him by his arm. Peter winced, the handcuffs biting into his skin, and walked.

He didn't understand what was going on or how he was to blame. He had saved you from Harry's grasp. He had saved you.

And now he was being forced out of the hospital, forced into a cruiser, and forced out of your life.

Would you be okay? Did you really blame him? What was happening?

Peter didn't have an answer for anything.
