"I'm not sure if I like this plan," you admitted softly, standing next to Peter.

"Yeah..." He crossed his arms and looked at you. "It'll be alright though."

"Yeah, I guess-"

A loud noise, similar to one of a blaster straight out of Star Wars, made you and Peter duck down. You both looked in the same direction to see a group of three figures coming at you. They came bounding towards you.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa-" You backed up, hand shooting out to grab Peter. He held onto you and you both toppled off the side of the platform. You shouted, landing on a second platform hard on your back. Peter grunted as he landed beside you.

One of the figures dropped down in front of you both. She had big black eyes and long black hair. She reached out with bony fingers.

Peter screamed out and started to back away. "Please don't put your eggs in me!"

"What - Peter! Don't leave me!" You got up and turned, putting your hands out. The yellow-orange outlines surrounded your palms. You pushed, and with a rush of breeze, the alien thing was knocked out of the way.

Peter lifted himself off and gasped. "Thanks, dude," he said.

"You were going to let it kill me," you accused.

"No, no..." He stood up and shook his head. "No I wasn't. I was totally going to save you. When... when the timing was right, obviously."

You rolled your eyes. "You're such an-"

Another blast and the sound of it bouncing against the shields your dad knew to conjure up made you look up at the platform you had been knocked off of. Peter ran to you, his mask appearing on his face. After wrapping an arm around your waist and shooting a web to the ceiling, he placed you safely on the floor. He ran with you, shooting webs at the three creatures that were attacking you.

When the giant one with greenish-blue skin turned towards you, he lifted a giant blade and brought it down. You yelped and caught it against your shield. He hit you over and over again, a cry of anger coming out of his mouth.

"Whoa, ___!" Peter exclaimed, reaching out to you. He was preparing to shoot a web when he was grabbed around the neck. He choked, his back colliding with someone's chest. He felt the coolness of a blaster on his head. The eyes of his mask widened.

You finally pushed the giant one away from you. Tony grabbed him and slammed him to the ground. Breathless, you turned, seeing Peter with a blaster to his head.

"Peter!" you shouted, eyes wide with terror.

He squirmed. Tony saw, half gasped, and pointed his fist at the one on the ground. He planted a foot on his chest to hold him there.

Your dad stood next to you, out of breath, shields up. You did the same.

The guy holding the blaster to Peter's head hit the side of his mask. The silver vanished, revealing the face of what seemed to be a human. "I'm gonna ask you this one time," he said, pointing the blaster to Tony. "Where is Gamora?"

"Yeah, I'll do you one better. Who's Gamora?" Tony asked.

The person at underneath him said, "I'll do you one better. Why is Gamora?"

"I swear to you, I'm gonna french fry this little freak," he said, putting the blaster up to Peter's head.

"Do it!" Tony said.

"No, don't do it!" you interjected.

"Let's do it! You shoot my guy and I'll blast him!" Tony added. He pointed a new weapon at him. "Let's do it!"

"Do it, Quill!" the person said. "I can take it."

"No he can't!" the alien-looking girl exclaimed.

"Yeah, you wouldn't be able to handle it," your dad told him. He looked at the one holding Peter. "Where are you from?"

"What, you want a history lesson now? You're kidding me, man-"

"Are you a human?" your dad impatiently demanded to know.

"Yeah, I'm a human," he said bitterly.

"So you're from Earth."

"Well duh-"

Tony gave a tired and annoyed look at your dad. They both put down their weapons. Your dad nudged you, urging you to do the same. Glancing nervously at Peter, you did.

"So you're not with Thanos?" Tony asked.

"No, we're not with Thanos! He stole my girlfriend!"

"Great," he replied. "We're not with him either."

"What..." he said. He looked around. "Then who are you guys?"

Peter's mask vanished. "We're the Avengers, man!"

"Wait, you're who Thor was talking about."

"You know Thor?" Tony asked.

"Yeah, tall guy, choppy hair, not that good looking," he described.

Peter looked at you and you looked at him. Both of you had your eyebrows furrowed.

"I'm not sure this guy's talking about the same Thor we know," you said.

Your dad gave you a dirty look. "Excuse me?"

"What?" You shrugged. "Everyone on Earth knows he's the hottest Avenger."

"I would argue with that as an Avenger, but... I can't," Peter said.

Quill frowned. He looked at the group of four, made a sound of disbelief, and dropped Peter. You stepped forward and grabbed Peter's arm, dragging him protectively behind you. He looked down at you and you glanced at his neck.

"You okay? He didn't get you too bad, did he?"

"No, I'm fine," he said, rubbing the front of his neck.

"What the heck do we do now, man?" Quill wined. "I thought I finally had him." He put his blaster away. "Man..."

"We can stop him together," your dad proposed.

"I want to kill him," the greenish-blue figure said. "He ordered to have my wife and daughter murdered where they stood."

"Yeah, well, he stole my girlfriend, so..." Quill muttered, "I wanna get a hit in there, too..."

"So we all want to stop Thanos," Tony said. "That's wonderful. What's the plan?"

"He's after this," your dad said, opening the object hanging around his neck.

Quill's eyes widened. "Is that one of the freaking stones?" he asked.

"Yes," your dad replied. He closed it. "So no matter what we end up doing, we need to lure him here, then kill him."

"Alright," Quill said, nodding in agreement. "Game plan time."
