as much as i like to write you all series, this one will just be two parts. series take a lot out of me bc i work hard to split them up perfectly & i've been really tired lately lol

also my parents are kinda upset with me bc i finished the semester with two Cs (so far) and i'm too afraid to tell them that it's only gonna get worse from here. once again, i hate college. and i suck at it

ideas from imagine-drakons and The_Planet_Needs_Me. couldn't combine them all in the end without it being awkwardly paced. sorry guys! did my best :(

Peter turned around. "Uh-" His eyes were wide and his mouth dropped. "Um-"

"Peter? Peter Parker?"

"Uh no! You don't - you don't know me, I'm... I'm..."

"You're in my room," you said. "Why in the world are you in my room?"

He shook his head. "I'm not Peter Parker," he said.

Your shoulders dropped and you shook your head. "Peter..." you sighed, reaching over and flipping your light switch. He swallowed nervously as he stood in the middle of your lit-up bedroom. "How long have you been Spider-Man?"

"Since the field trip," he said.

You nodded. "Cool. So... one of the spiders bit you?"

"Yup," he said.

You nodded again. "That's creepy." You sat on the side of your bed, pulling one of your legs to sit underneath you.

"Look, ___," Peter said, crossing the room in three big steps. "I know I don't know you really but this is a seriously big secret. You can't tell anyone about this. Please."

"I know, Peter," you said softly. "I won't tell anyone."

"Good," he breathed. He ran a hand through his hair. "Can I do anything in return? Your homework or-"

"What? Don't be weird," you laughed. "I won't tell anyone about this, Peter. I promise." You smiled. "Do you want a towel? You're soaking my carpet."

"Huh? Oh." He looked at his feet. "Sure, yeah. Sorry about that." He laughed nervously.

"It's fine," you said. "I'll be right back." You got off the bed and walked out of your room. You headed to one of the closets and took out a fresh towel that smelled of clean laundry. When you came back, you shut the door and locked it behind you. Peter looked at you. "Uh, just so one of my parents doesn't come in. Can't give out your secret to everyone."

He grinned. "Oh, yeah." You tossed him the towel. "Thanks." He ran the towel through his damp hair, then folded it and sat down on the floor. He gave you a closed-lip smile and you sat back down on your bed. "I'm just gonna hang out here until the rain stops, if it's alright with you. I mean, if it isn't, I can totally go. I can go right now if-"

"No, you can stay," you said. "I'm not going to make you swing home in the storm." The lightning made your room light up brighter. "Who knows how long it'll last."

"Karen says all night," he said.

You furrowed your eyebrows. "Karen?"

"Oh, my suit." He touched his chest. "There's this program that Mr. Stark put in here... she helps me and talks to me.... and that make me sound super incredibly lame and also makes me seem like I talk to voices in my head. That's... great."

You laughed lightly, covering your mouth with your hand to not make a lot of noise. "Yeah, I, if, don't know if I can believe you."

"No? Okay, well," He said, picking up his mask. He got on his knees and scooted forward. "Try it for yourself."

"Really?" you asked. He nodded and you took it. "Isn't this, like, really expensive?"

"Only like, uh, multi-million dollars of tech..."

"What?" you squeaked. You tossed it back to him. "Oh my gosh!" He caught it and you snickered. He grinned at you. "Okay, so I probably shouldn't have thrown it.  I get that."

He laughed. "Yeah, probably shouldn't have. It's fine though. Here - put it on and say hi to Karen. I swear, you'll see that I'm not crazy."

You took it from him and gently put it on your head. It fit perfectly somehow, and you assumed it was some sort of fancy Stark technology that made the suit fit on anyone that put it on.

"Uh, hello... Karen?"

"Hello," a female voice said, making you jump.

"Uh, hi," you said, feeling like an idiot. "I'm... not Peter."

She sounded amused. "I know. You're the cute girl in Chemistry he talks about."

"Okay!" Peter exclaimed, and suddenly the mask was off of your head. "That's enough for today, thank you Karen."

You blinked up at him and smiled fondly. Did Karen just say cute? Like Peter thought you were cute?

You self consciously fixed your hair and then tucked it behind your ears. Peter was bashfully looking at the mask in his hands. He scratched the back of his head.

"I'm real sorry about that," he said, wincing.

"About thinking I'm cute?" you asked. You sounded braver than you felt. "I don't know if you know this about girls, Peter... but we like compliments just as much as boys do."

"Right," he breathed, letting out a nervous laugh. "But I just feel weird because I snuck into your house - which I thought was empty, by the way - and then you found out that I think you're cute and I don't know, I just feel totally lame around you."

You shook your head. "Don't feel lame around me," you said. The thunder cracked the sky. "Hey. It looks like you may be stuck here for a while... so how about I make us some cocoa?"

"That would be great," he said. He jerked his thumb to the window and gave you another nervous look. "But really... I can go if you want."

"Peter," you said patiently, "why are you so sure that I don't think you're cute, too? Or that I think you're totally lame?" You smiled at him. "I'll be back with some cocoa." You got up and left the room again.

Peter smiled after you. He took out his phone and dialed May's number. "Hello? Hey, Aunt May. Yeah, I'm fine. I'll be home a little late tonight. I'm at a friend's house. Uh-huh. Yeah, love you too." As he hung up, your head poked in.

"You like marshmallow on your hot chocolate, right?" you asked.

He gave you a soft smile. "Yeah, I do."

"Awesome," you said.

Before you disappeared, he said, "Uh hey, ___?" You looked at him and raised your eyebrows. "You don't have a date for the spring dance already, do you?"

"No," you said, smiling.

"Okay," he said. He nodded. "That's good to know."

You grinned wider. "Are you... asking me now or-?"

"No, not now," he said, "but soon."

"Can't wait," you said, disappearing again.

Peter grinned wider when you were gone. He couldn't believe how great his life was going - all because of a storm.
