Mar's the princess of a bootlegging empire, beloved by all and she loves them. But when her father forges a alliance with the maffia backing her into a corner to marry a man she hasn't seen since she was a baby, she runs away from the home she thought she loved more than anything and ends up in this hellscape on a miserable island across a ocean. And she's tried to convince herself she's happy with the choice she made giving up everything. Right when she's wondering if it would've been better to stay, she runs into that boy she used to play with when her father and his father worked together, that boy who clearly grew into something she doesn't know if the blood he's covered in is anything to go by.
