Even if he didn't owe it to her to deliver her safe and sound to some man with what sounds like a made up name, he might have been willing to help her because she's nothing like any child he'd encountered before.

so it might be obvious from my short and sweet plot but I haven't read or played any Witcher anything so yea this might be inaccurate
I also never played TLOU but I can't help comparing Kristofer and Ciri to Joel and Ellie -- they're real wary of each other at first but they end up relying on each other and having each other's backs and just being super close
You can decide when they run into Geralt and it can be a bit of a slow burn or not since it takes them a minute to get to each other
Kristofer's a real good fighter with a fighting style different from Geralt's he's not a witcher though -- if you want to give him some type of abilities as a result of a curse or someshit feel free
