Monalisa might've been the world's leading researcher in cloning's protege but she never trusted him; she pushed all misgivings and morals to the side for what she thought was her dream job. She even tried to cut her personal life out in the beginning of her internship, til the lab grunt showed her around their college town and broke down her walls. When Valentin wakes her up in the middle of his night shift with two plane tickets and a flash drive, she decided to finally trust somebody at their word bc if not her first best friend, then who? He promised her a explanation but Valentin didn't get any further than discovering something in the lab before the guy sitting across the aisle from them and the flight attendant who went to go help him started dying violently and the plane crashed. She's more grateful than she could ever express both of them survived but now she's stranded in some apocalypse without a computer to hook the drive up to, with some shady New Yorker from business class who she's pretty sure's some type of con man and Valentin who just finally woke up with no memory of what happened the night they left or her.

So yea both Monalisa and Valentin are working under Dr. Matsumori but since the show's taking so many liberties (which I LOVE and they better keep doing!!) I didn't mention him by name in case they don't bring him in but basically they were both in the lab w Ampersand
Speaking of the comics I'm only watching the show til the moment that made me never read the comics happens unless ofc that's another liberty the showrunners take (don't let us down Melina!!!) and this plot would absolutely be AU if it does end up happening
Also Monalisa and Valentin are the cutest both before and after his TrueBloodass amnesia but this is a plot for my baby Agent 355 and Ving -- who's kinda like Sawyer from LOST -- is her love interest
h almost forgot to say idk how old Theodore is (I JUST discovered him and fell in love when I saw There's Someone Inside Your House) but I know Yasmin's young so if you feel like she's too young for him Leyna Bloom could be Mona instead
