Paris is his exciting, new stage in life. He's in his first year at university, the French he knows is just from a few years of schooling and the first person he had sex with here told him he had a very strong accent, but his favorite part of his new life's the impact he's making. Mousa's volunteering his skill set to help new entries into the country who didn't get here as easily as he did and weren't welcomed as warmly as he was. As he makes more connections, he finds himself hearing the name Abou more and more. As he starts spending more and more time with one of his best connections to the Parisian communities, Kader, he learns one very important thing -- he's clearly in love with his partner or whatever you want to call it, who may or may not be leaving the business and causing a rift. Kader invites Mousa to a party where he unfortunately meets Abou, they debate over needing help and helping yourself but he acts a little to like himself and ends up with a gun in his face. A devastatingly beautiful chick, who evidently Abou has more respect for than he does him, intervenes. Of course he learns as much as he can quick; her name's Vic, she's not having any of Abou's shit, she's trying to go straight and continue her education, and she's not exactly Kader's partner.
Mousa finds a opportunity and takes it, he persuades Vic to be his new guide, a job she doesn't really have time for with dealing, taking university courses, and splitting her time between her family's place and her own place. They meet up about once a week, he learns better French and that his permanent accent is sexy, and that her name is Marieme and she's nothing like the front she puts up while working for Abou
LITTLE EXTRA: I'm entirely too aware I got a problem-- I watch amazing movies and mini series, get way too attached to the characters and just want more of it Lol this is least 3 movies now I'm writing ideas of spin offs for
Mousa's working/interning for a NGO or a immigration law firm
