All those Indiana Jones and Lara Croft wannabes just assumed the Orb of Ra was done, dead and gone. That's the way the League preferred it after their Head came across a young girl with a powerful gift inside her, discovered how valuable she was and took her in. False or not, that was the first home she could remember and she thought she loved it until Bruce came, making her realize she had nothing to compare it to and swaying her to her second one. She'd been loyal to him for years, grateful to him for showing her this world polar opposite of what she'd known, until he ran out of the countless chances she'd been giving him, fucking her over for the last time. It might not be based on experience, but she knows there's more; she doesn't have to be somebody's tool. But she can't go back. The first real choice she ever made, to leave the League, opened up a whole universe of options but she was too busy discovering some degree of normalcy and freedom to realize that choice eliminated the possibility of returning to what she had, or to realize exactly how infinite the options open to her now.

Not used to figuring out the more complex side of her new, relatively normal life like emotions and relationships and unable to separate herself from this man she's so intricately fused with, she goes through the motions, and she meets him in a slinky dress fake-smiling on Bruce's arm. And then she meets him again just a few hours later suited up and saving a whole nation all in one night, he's way too happy just for spending the night in her presence and not even getting a smile, but a real laugh out of her.

When she first met Bruce it never occurred to her she'd be able to live a life normal enough where she'd be able to evaluate her worth, but now she has and she sure as fuck doesn't owe him for the opportunity because she knows what she deserves. She doesn't know if this boy's good enough for her not yet but maybe she can trust him and maybe somebody can put their trust in her for once. Least as long as He doesn't come to the U.S. looking for what's owed, or even worse, the other more-than-man from her past, the one she doesn't remember, the one she just feels out there somewhere, no matter whatever expert of the week denies His existence.

A GOOD BIT EXTRA : Some Fries Motherfucker. I love Justin he's cute as shit and I could not get into Arrow and that GIF's one of the most entertaining eps of the series y3ni I mean drunk Superman? Hungover Superman??

I really like the song I can't remember the ep though -- the last season and baby clone Lex is there and Green Arrow's a part of a prisoner exchange or some shit should probably rewatch the series

And to the meat -- ofc most everything's up to you. I imagined she'd get some unMetamorpha-type powers from having the Orb of Ra inside her, like some kind of DC Phoenix but if you're not feeling it, the story can work without it, the point was just she had some volatile uncontrollable shit locked down tight inside her, you can even take the powers away, if you want-- change her from dormant to inert or some shit

Ammon-Ra ever appearing's up to you too, sure they can have a strange close, kinda twisted bond she can even know his real name, but he doesn't have to show up and show out like a super villain, he doesn't even have to loom over her life like the Mind-Flayer at the end of Stranger Things S2 if you don't want any of that

This is not a love triangle, maybe there can be something sexual and/or romantic between Marvel and Bruce but their relationship's too fucked up for love -- they probably just been alone together for too long and with a change in the dynamic and Marvel moving forward and growing and everything they might get nasty in a not fun way

Marvel's nickname is Velvet really only one person calls her that though

They love being with this real, true partner in every way and how brilliant the other one is in spite of all the darkness -- they see how their loyalty and themselves been taken for granted before and they'd just never use or deceive the other, not for nothing, and they know the other deserves better than what they've received and they're confident they can treat each other better

Wow I went on and on
