                                                       ************ WARNING : AU AF ************

Missandei cried for the first time in many years when master Kraznys sold her. Not only because she knew wherever that ship took her things could only be worse but she was leaving the only people who were ever kind to her when she was thrown into this world as a child -- the few who taught her how to keep her head down, be invisible, listen to and watch others and learn, read a person at a glance. But whichever gods are the true gods intervened on one account, and thanks to Westerosi pirates she never will see where that ship would take her. Instead she finds herself in this foreign, white, frozen land and motivated by a life of freedom she figures out how to survive for multiple moons. One morning she encounters a man named Benjen Stark.

He informs her that he can't take her back to his Castle Black, not that she particularly wants to, but he convinces her to travel with him and he helps her build a home because she might enjoy excelling at passing unnoticed but she finds despite everything, she misses people. Her proximity to Castle Black is not entirely convenient as Benjen Stark's commander follows him to her one day. She and Jeor Mormont make a deal that she will be thoroughly trained to become a Ranger for him and she will sneak into his quarters in Castle Black to report only in emergencies. Unfortunately, emergencies do arise. The most recent is her family being taken from her again and she can't find him even with her skillsets and uniquely strategic mind.

The only thing keeping her from heading out on her own is Jeor Mormont's vow that he's gathering men to go North, and he knows he needs her mind at work Beyond the Wall helping them and figuring out Mance Rayder so she scouts ahead for them. But just the first night of the Night's Watch out Beyond the Wall, and she encounters Benjen Stark's other family who resents her and blames her for what happened to his uncle. Unfortunately for her, Jeor Mormont tasks her with looking after Jon Snow when he attracts trouble. And unlike finding his uncle, watching and protecting him is something she can do easily, at least up until they're separated by an army of wights.

Successfully tracking Jon Snow is nothing and the contrast with her failure in finding Benjen Stark doesn't even cross her mind as she enters the largest Wildling camp she imagines there ever was. But Jon Snow insists he doesn't want to escape, and now Missandei must live this lie with the closest thing to a friend she's had in a long time, handling advances from her own wildling kissed by fire, all to try to save a people she's not certain she's interested in saving.

LITTLE EXTRA : As previously stated, this is AU as fuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkk and Missandei may                                   seem like a totally different character and she kinda is, she got herself off that                                       raided ship, she survived Beyond the Wall, these different experiences develop                                     her differently but she's still Missandei -- however much Missandei GoT writers                                     actually developed -- just without the Dany worship basically and with some                                         combat points

So she's got loyalty to Jeor but not really to anybody else in the Night's Watch so                                 as she gets closer with the Wildlings she gets a bit conflicted, but since she's not                                   in as Deep as Jon she's most likely the one to snap him out of it

Lol so Tormund. They smash. She hasn't had sex in a very long time and                                                   he sees her as the prettier Jon Snow so it's inevitable. It's no epic (first) love like                                  Jon and Ygritte but they're very close and attached to each other

And in the mean time Missandei and Jon are a very slow burn. They grow to rely                                   on and trust each other for everything. She helps keep him going after Ygritte.                                       You get to decide when it turns into more because I honestly have no idea who                                     knows maybe not even til S7

I love The Magical Hair Ship until the end of time but I'm not delusional enough                                    to think they're ever writing it in the show....... maybe a little naive b/c I still let                                      those BTS pics before S7 aired of Nathalie in Westeros get my hopes up for S7 so                                  here's this
