Can I even do this if I've never written a story in my life
Side Note -- I just need to reiterate or iterate what I reiterate later -- my titles are shit they're ridiculous y3ni like if you actually like a concept in here, you don't even need to ask...
Professor Yi loathes academia. If somebody asked him how he got here when he was enjoying life running acquisitions at a world-renowned museum, he wouldn't be able to answer. Partially because he doesn't know, partially because what he is aware of is embarassing to admit to somebody. He's had way too much relationship drama and the last thing he wants is to tell somebody he let some messy ex influence his career path -- definitely not to somebody he's attracted to and interested in. But it's been about a year as a art history professor stuck in NY due to a pandemic derailing the exchange program he was assigned to run and the majority of his time has been spent on his students.
There's Estelle who he has a hard time handing out any type of disciplinary action to because he knows she's trying to make trouble just to cover up how scared and lonely she is in a foreign country kinda like him. There's Keenu who's actually even more trouble than the face she puts on and despite the intimidation tactics and mind games she uses with everybody including him he tries his best to set boundaries, provide discipline and help her grow. He tries not to rely on Shea to check her, even though he seems to be the only one who can, because it'd be wrong to put that responsibility on a student especially when he knows Shea's taken on too much responsibility at his young age already.
The point is he has might've made too much of his life about his students, and he can't stand associating w the teachers at the host school who he's ashamed to call his colleagues. So he's more than a little bit off his game when he literally runs into the most enchanting fucking guy he's ever met at some type of parent-teacher conference night at Constance.

So this started out w me wanting to make a plot for Gideon -- bc he deserves so much better it's fucking ridiculous -- and that's where Derek comes in but as the show went on it kinda spiralled so to sum shit up Estelle's Zoya's love interest, Keenu's Monet's and Shea's Max's
There's already a lot of faces in here but if you're interested I got back-up FCs for everybody -- and possibly even more OCs (for Shan and Luna) I just cut it down bc this is already one of the longest plots I put out in a min -- and if you want a little more inspo for the OCs and theirelationships w the canon characters I got that too
Also it's up to you but every student in the program could be an heir/heiress to some fortune
