They were the type of happy nobody can imagine unless they've lived it. They'd fucked up plenty but somehow ended up the luckiest, most joyful people alive. Years later and it's hard to remember the bliss of the family and home they'd created together. They're free and together again, and that's brought back a piece of that. Finally seeing each other again reminded them home's not lost forever. Home's wherever their baby girl is so they're finding her. That's the only plan they need. They thought it didn't matter what government scientists might've done to her -- but they might have to factor in her acting different not because time's passed but because the notes they found at the lab document unstable, volatile powers and memory problems -- least to help them predict where she might've gone. So far, the best lead they have is some damaged security footage showing a boy breaking out at the same time

Ok enough about GIFs you get to decide on Lucy's powers she could be telepathic, there could be Misfits-like drawbacks with whatever powers she has, etc and you can decide if her birth name's even Lucy or not
Despite the fuckshit they been through and are currently going through Lucy and Conner share this kinda childlike wonder about everything kinda like Finn and Rey in TFA -- and they stay competing over who knows what b/c her memory might be gone but she does feel like she knows basic shit that he doesn't
Everything's just super sweet since they're so young and her parents really welcome him, protect him and just grow to care for him -- those relationships are super sweet too
