AUTUMN 1000

3rd Person POV

After six days of following Bar's ship they finally caught him on the sixth day, and on the seventh a great confrontation happened from noon to dawn and by the end they succeeded in helping the Archelanders taking over Lord Bar's galleon. The fighting had stoped now and Peter cleaned his sword. He looked to his right and saw his brother, King Edmund shaking hands with King Lune. He rummaged the crowd, looking for Imira.

"Imira! Are you alright?" Peter asked spotting his girlfriend down on the floor.

He had lost sight of her during the fight and had grown worried something might have happened to her. And now here she lied, tangled up in ropes, confused and disoriented, mumbling under her breath lying down on the ship's floor. She spotted him and sighted in relief.

"What happened?" He asked worriedly once at her side.

She sat up and looked at him. "Stupid guy with his stupid sword," she said angrily pushing off of her some ropes. "Tried to throw me off board," She explained while brushing off the sweat covered loose hairs that obstructed her vision, "got me caught up on this mess. But not before I killed him," Peter held out a hand for her and she grabbed hold of his forearm. When she got up she stumbled on her feet, due to the ship's motion. "Thanks," she said as she looked into his eyes, grateful for the help. He steadied her on her feet before letting go of her, waiting for her to catch her balance.

She looked around at the wet wooden floor, looking for her sword. She had somehow lost it during the struggle. "Now where is my..." But before she could finish Peter had already spotted it a few feet behind her dangerously close to the ship's edge. He went to get it and handed it to her. "Thanks," she said once more and sheathed her blade. He just nodded.

"I suppose we won," she said.

"We won the battle love, but I'm afraid we were late," Peter replied ominously,

"Is he..." she started to say but could not bring herself to finish the sentence.

"He's nowhere to be found," Peter informed her.

"Oh. Sell that sucks. Are, uhm, are you alright?" she asked awkwardly changing the subject.

"Yeah, I'm fine. You?" He asked her.

"I'm alright," she said giving him a small smile.

"Come on, Edmund is talking with Lune now. Let's find out what comes next," Peter said, and they both walked towards the ship's port where almost everyone was gathered.

When they reached the others they found Edmund and King Lune supervising the capture of the traitors.

"Where is he?!?" King Lune asked one of the captured soldiers, while Edmund pointed his sword at the man's throat. The man limited himself to scowling at the two Kings.

"I said, where is my son!!!" The King asked angrier this time. Edmund's sword pressed against the man's throat, threatening to shed blood if the man continued to refuse the King.

"He's not here." The man said, grinding his teeth and looking at Edmund's sword direly. Edmund drew back his sword, giving the man space to breath.

The tide began to rise, swinging the boat harder, and making Imira stumble to the side and grabbing Peter's shoulder for balance.

"Hey," He smiled to himself at the unexpected form of contact, "lost your sea legs?" he teased in a whisper.

Imira just shook her head slightly and could not help smiling at his comment. "I'm just a little dizzy." She replied. This was unusual of her. She hadn't been on a boat for years now, but last six days she hadn't felt dizzy at all.

Peter slipped his arm around her waist so she wouldn't fall. She smiled up at him, grateful for the support and leaned slightly against his right side.

"Where is Prince Cor?" King Lune asked once more.

"He's gone. When Lord Bar realized early this morning he was in over his head the gave the Prince to one of his knights and sent them both away in the ship's boat." The man said.

"Where to?" King Lune asked.

"He didn't say." Edmund aimed his sword once again at the man, making him flinch. "I swear, he didn't say!"

King Lune's face fell at the sound of those words. He ordered his men to conduct a search and Peter ordered for the merfolk to search too, but it was useless, Prince Cor was far away by now and would not be seen until many years later, but that is a story for another time. What matters now is that King Lune ordered for the few remaining men of Bar's crew to be arrested for treason and be taken on board of his ship. King Lune thanked King Edmund, King Peter, and Princess Imira for their help and went on to look for his lost son. The King brothers and Imira crossed over to their vessel to return to Narnia.

"Take us, home Captain," Peter ordered.

"Yes, Your Highness." the Captain replied and proceeded to give commands to the crew to ready the ship for sailing.

"I'm going to write a letter to let them know what happened," Edmund informed his brother and his friend.

"And I'm going to lie down. I think I hit my head when I fell," Imira said rubbing the back of her head.

"Well, in that case, I should probably walk you to make sure you don't fall on the way," Peter said, teasing her about her previous stumble. He placed his arm around her shoulder and the three of them walked inside as the crew prepared the ship to sail back to Narnia.
