IMIRA'S POV

It was Friday and Queen Cecee was still in Narnia. I thought having Prince Corin around would make me sad or something, but he's just so happy it's infectious. We managed to talk her into staying until the party. She was hesitant at first, but she said yes.

I was chatting with Edmund at the farewell party and having a drink after having spent the previous hours with Susan when suddenly I spotted Peter talking with some girl in the shadows. What the heck? The girl looked pretty, with long straight glossy brunette hair, a simple flowy red dress, probably around my age and as tall as him. Hmm, Peter seems familiar with her, they're exchanging laughs and they're smiling at each other a lot. Who the heck is this girl?!

".. it back and then, Imira, are you even listening?" Edmund asked, bringing me back from my thoughts.

"Not really," I admitted nonchalantly. "Edmund, who is that girl?" I asked, pointing over to where she was still smiling at Peter.

"What girl?" he asked looking around. "Oh, that girl," he said once he spotted her. "She's pretty," he noticed the face I made at that last statement so he quickly tried to correct himself. "Not as pretty as you, of course. You're beautiful, more than she is. Have you done something different with your hair? Because it looks great," she said quickly.

"I brushed it," I replied sarcastically.

"Ah, yes, of course. You hadn't done that in a while," he said, looking down at his feet.

"The girl, Ed. Who is she?" I asked again.

"What's-her-name? I've seen her around the north side of the castle where the soldiers are at with Peter or Nick. I don't know her name though," he took a drink from his water and caught me staring at the girl. He chuckled, "Relax, my brother loves you. I'm sure they are just friends," he said.

"Just friends?" I asked. Oh, please, there is no way she just wants to be friends with Peter, is there?

Peter was nodding at her and her smile grew. Did she look... grateful? Huh. I think I'll just ignore them and, oh shit, he's coming this way. I look back at Edmund and go back to our conversation. "Quick, pretend like we were talking,"

"We were talking before you ever so rudely interrupted me," he points out, but I just roll my eyes at him. "Fine. So as I was saying, I headed to the stables to meet with Phillip when suddenly-" Once more Edmund's story was interrupted, only this time it was Peter who did the interrupting.

"Peter, hey," I turn to greet him with a smile.

Edmund throws his arms up in the air exasperated. "I don't know why I even try,"

"Don't be so dramatic Ed," Peter pats his brother on the back. "So, what were you two talking about?"

"Oh, it doesn't matter," I said. Edmund looked bothered, but he'll get over it. He always does. "Who were you talking to?" I asked, looking over to where the girl is talking with some people whose faces I cannot see.
