"Are you ready babe?" Andy, my boyfriend, shouts from downstairs.
Nervously I turn around and look in the mirror. Today I am going to meet Andy's Mum for the first time.
I am super nervous and kind of scared that she will not like me.
"Vida?" I hear Andy's voice suddenly from behind me.
I still don't answer. Andy lays his hands on my waist.
"What's wrong?" He asks, worried.
"Nothing." I mumble and turn around to look at him.
Gently he lays his fingers under my chin and pulls it up so I can look straight in his beautiful blue eyes.
"Babe?" He whispers.
"I'm just a little afraid of meeting your Mum." I say quietly.
Andy laughs and strokes my cheek.
"That's what you are worrying about?" He asks.
I nod shyly.
"Vida, listen, you are pretty, smart, funny, intelligent, kind and so many more things. My Mum wants me to be happy and I am more than than happy with you. You make me smile everyday baby." Andy says.
I smile and kiss him.
"I love you so much." I whisper.
"I love you more, babe." He says and hugs me.
The dinner with Andy's Mum is great. I laugh a lot and it really seems like she likes me and I like her too.
"My two favourite ladies in the whole world." Andy smiles.
I've never seen him that happy.
