Chapter Twenty Seven

The four continued to watch Khushi and Arnav and gave Arnav nonstop advice, however nothing worked. Payal and Seema were becoming quite aggravated with Khushi. One day, both were stumped and even Chutki was stumped. 

"I don't know," Chutki said, "I need to put my mind off of this," and she left the room. 

Payal and Seema watched her leave and Khushi passed by. They got up and followed Khushi to her room. 

"Where you been?" Payal asked as they sat down on her bed. 

Khusbi sat in her moon chair. "Study date with Arnav."

"Study date? Or something else," Seema hinted. 

"No, just a study date. Why?"

Payal and Seema looked at each other and covered their faces and groaned. 

"What," Khushi asked innocently. 

"Nothing," Payal said. 

They remained quiet for a moment when Khushi spoke. 

"Um… I've been meaning to try to ask you guys something."

"What," both asked. 

"Um… well… I don't know how to say this…."

"What?!"

Both prayed it was about Arnav. 

"Alright, I'm just gonna say it. Did you two loose it," she blurted. 

Both Payal and Seema looked at each other and covered their faces and groaned. 

"Well did you," Khushi pressured. 

Both looked down and nodded.

"What were you two thinking?! Imagine if Amma and Babuji found out? What then?! What were you guys thinking?!"

"That… it was okay," Payal said, sounding more like a question. 

"I don't believe this," Khushi said, shaking her head. 

"Oh please," Seema said, "you probably would've done it if you were in our shoes."

"No way! I'm not having sex till I'm married."

"Yeah right! Let's make a bet."

"Bet?"

"Yeah," Payal said. "Let's make a bet."

"Yeah," Seema said. "I- no. We," Seema said, pointing at herself and Payal, "bet that you will have sex before marriage."

"And if you both loose," Khushi questioned. 

"Then… we'll do whatever you want us to do."

"And if you loose," Payal said, "then you'll have to do what we tell you to do."

"Okay... shall we make a deal?"

Khushi looked at the two and held her hand out. "Deal."

She shook hands with them both and Khushi felt overly confident that she was definitely, without a doubt, 100%, going to win.
