The next day, around lunchtime, Damian came home early from work, so he, Bri, and Lea decided to meet up with Aini and Sméagol for a picnic by the lake. They found a nice, shady grove of trees, and laid their blanket down.

"Beautiful day, isn't it?" Aini commented.

"Yeah," Lea agreed. "Perfect temperature."

"Even better in the shade," said Bri.

"Yes," Gollum agreed. "We hates the sun."

"You hate the sun?!" Bri exclaimed. "So do I!"

"It burns us!"

"Oh, me, too, Sméagol. I actually get physically sick from it."

"Does it?"

Bri smiled. "Yep, it does."

"I like the sun," said Lea, "but I get sunburned easily since my skin is so sensitive."

"Me, too," said Bri.

"So, what's for lunch?" asked Aini.

"Well," said Damian, "I stopped at Subway, and got us some nice, juicy sandwiches. And, for you, Sméagol, I got you some sushi, raw and wriggling, just like you like it."

Sméagol's mouth watered.

Damian handed everyone their food and drinks. "I don't know what you two like to drink, so I got you some water."

"Oh, that's perfect," said Aini. "It's literally all I drink."

"Is it nice and cool?" asked Sméagol.

"Better than that, it's icy cold." Damian handed Sméagol his water. "There ya go, buddy."

"Thank you." Sméagol took a drink. "Ooh, we likes it!"

Damian chuckled. "Good."

"Does Lea like Sushi?"

"I don't know," said Lea. "I haven't had it in a while. I only tried it once, and it was just okay."

"Does it wants a bite?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll try it again."

"Here's an extra fork," said Bri, "so you don't have to share one."

Sméagol picked up a small piece of fish, and handed the fork to Lea.

Lea tried it. "Mmm, that's pretty good."

"You likes it?"

"Yep, I likes it a lot." Lea smiled. "I like the way you talk. It's really cute."

Bri nodded in agreement.

Sméagol grinned.
