5: Ancestral Tree

Kinagabihan...

Since she was summoned by Czar, walang nagawa si Nyssa kundi ang sumabay sa hapunan ng magpapapamilya.

At mukhang may nagawa siya agad siyang mali hindi pa man nakakapag-umpisa silang kumain.

Pagpasok kasi niya ng Common Dining room ay naroroon na sila Czar, Astra at Alexandra.

Czar, as the head of the family, ay nakaupo sa may pinakakabisera ng mesa. Sa kanan niya ay si Astra at sa kaliwa naman ay si Alexandra.

Upon choosing where she would sit, hindi na nag-isip pa si Nyssa at naupo sa tabi ni Alexandra. After all, the owner of her current body was the pure blood sister of her.

Pero mukhang iyon ang naging dahilan kung bakit biglang nagbago ang atmosphere sa Dining room.

Astra coughed several times and threw her looks.

But since sa mga ganitong pampamilyang bagay ay kadalasang ignorante si Nyssa, hindi tuloy niya agad nahulaan ang nais iparating nito.

Sakto namang dumating ang magkambal na sila Alyanna at Arianna.

And the awkward atmosphere increased.

Mainly because Arianna proceeded sitting beside Astra habang si Alyanna naman ay nanatiling nakatayo sa may likuran ni Anastasia.

"Ehem..." Alyanna coughed.

Mukha namang hindi na natagalan ni Czar ang nangyayari kaya naman ay nagsalita na ito.

"The table has a lot of chairs, Alyanna. Grab one already and stop being calculative with your sister, for Pete's sake." Inis na sabi ni Czar. Dahil sa takot sa ama ay agad naupo na lang sa tabi ni Arianna si Alyanna. Which obviously not nice for her because even with this seating arrangement sa dining table, one's status in the family is being shown.

Hindi man niya kayang malamangan si Alexandra as she is the oldest among them siblings, but surely, she's notch higher than the good for nothing Anastasia.

"I know you are used sitting beside me, Alyanna. But since this lady is missing her memories, we should adjust. Of course, even the smallest thing as seating arrangement will be forgotten by her. Sarili niya nga ay di niya maalala eh." Alexandra added some insult towards Anastasia which somehow calmed down Alyanna. If Alexandra indicated otherwise, then that would be a different story.

"Sorry." Nyssa said after a while.

"No need to be sorry, Anastasia. They should really be more understanding towards your situation. Here... I asked the chefs to cook food that can help your fast recovery. Eat these food well." Czar said and even handed her a plate of rice near him.

No one could question his doting towards his daughters but it didn't mean it saved Nyssa from hatred of people around her. She could definitely feel the loathing gazes of those three in front of her. Habang si Alexandra naman ay nagpanggap na parang walang nakikita. Though deep inside, she was watching them carefully.

Of course, apihin man niya sa mga salita niya si Anastasia, she is still her only legitimate sister. She would never let anyone harm her.

"Whoo... What a tough dinner." Di napigilang sabi ni Nyssa matapos niyang lumabas ng Dining hall. Mahina lang naman niyang sinabi iyon, enough for her and Hazel to hear.

"Sorry, Miss. I forgot to warn you."

"Nah. It wasn't your fault."

Truth be told, mas matindi pa sa dinanas niya ngayon ang naranasan niya noon sa Dining Hall ng Ryder Clan. Can you imagine her own father throwing her out in the middle of eating dahil lang hindi nito gusto ang presensya niya?
