In the living room...

Kakatapos lang mag-usap usap ng walo. They finally finalized the statements of the four. Hopefully, things went well in direct examination.

When Brock collected the recording, he looked up and his eyes drifted towards the door of the room of Nyssa.

He felt it. She was back.

But he had no heart to disturb her. Not when she was silently sobbing in pain.

Napatingin siya kay Raqie and she did the same thing too. Their eyes met and they simply nodded to each other as if a secret understanding passed between them. Then they both sighed to themselves.

"Toby, tell her our regards." Brock said.

"What?" Toby naguguluhan pang tanong ni Toby kay Brock but he already started to go out of the house. Raqie did the same thing.

Napailing lang naman sila Naomi at Drax nang tignan sila ni Toby.

"Come on, Naomi and Drax. Pagpahingahin niyo na sila. Bumalik na lang tayo bukas." Raqie called out when the two of them didn't follow yet.

Napasimangot lang naman si Naomi. But she and Drax quickly followed the two out.

Yung apat naman na lalaking naiwan ay nagkatinginan.

Then Toby suddenly rushed towards Nyssa's room.

When he saw the lady on the bed, he couldn't help himself rushing towards her.

"Ana! Where have you been all day?" He asked then occupied the side of the bed.

Doon lang naman niya napansin na humihikbi ang babae.

He was shocked.

He had never seen Nyssa cried before. Not even when she was being bullied at school nor having a hard time. Not even when she almost die by the hands of Celine's maids.

"Ana..." Toby called her again softly.

Nyssa sat on the bed and hugged him.

"They're gone, Toby. Sophia... Sonny... Those kids... I failed. I failed them..."

The five of them fell silent.

All they could hear was the quiet sobbing of Nyssa.

Toby felt terrible habang minamasahe ang likuran ng dalaga.

She was self blaming but in fact, it wasn't just her who was supposed to save those kids.

He should have done something to save them too.

Adam sighed and came out of Nyssa's room. Although he was curious, but he felt if he stayed more, he would know things that was too inportant to her.

She was messed up right now. She was in no condition to decide whether to allow them to know her secrets or not.

Ganun din naman ang naramdaman ni Khalil.

Though he was close to her, there were still some things he should be respecting about her.

He left too kasunod ni Adam, closing the door behind him on the process.

The two of them sat on kitchen.

"Should we just sleep?" Khalil asked.

"Can you?"

Khalil shook his head. Then he sighed. "At least she's back."

He stood up and started to prepare some thing to eat for Nyssa. She must have been famished. Also, a good milk could help her calm down.

When Adam saw Khalil's initiative, he also stood up and walked upstairs to his room.

As for Jin who remained in the room with Toby and Nyssa, he clenched his fist as his expression got darker.

"I wasn't able to save them, Toby. Their blood was sacrificed. Their essence were absorbed. Their body disintigrated. Toby, I failed. Even in this lifetime, I failed them." Nyssa continued.

Napapikit na lang si Toby when he heard those things that had happened to the kids.

But then, he also caught Nyssa's words.

'Even in this lifetime, I failed them.'

It made him froze and thought about things.

"What do you mean?" He asked quietly. "What do you mean by 'even in this lifetime', Ana?"

But Nyssa remained quiet.

Toby held her shoulders to look at her face. He once again asked her but she didn't answer.

"Toby, you are not stupid. You have an idea about what she means by that.

"Besides, she told you before but you thought she was being silly.

"Toby, she told you before that she was reincarnated, don't you remember?"

Nyssa couldn't stop herself looking up towards Jin when he said those words.

How did he know about it?

When Jin saw her looking at him, he gently smiled at her.

"I'm sorry. It wasn't my intention to eavesdrop at that time. Same goes when you told the same thing towards Master."

Nyssa slowly breathed out.

So he heard it twice but...

"Did you believe me?"

She asked while directly looking at him.

"Of course. You have no reason to lie at all."

Nyssa was silenced after that.

That somehow comforted her.

Her rebirth had been the biggest secret of her existence right now. And she wanted that secret to be known by the people closest to her. However, she was also aware of the absurdity of that happening. So it was normal for the people not to believe her.

But Jin was always different.

She knew it somehow.

The fact that he could perceive things differently than others, that always stunned her.

And now, he was the only one who believed her words about her reincarnation.

Somehow, that eased up the load of her heart.

"So it was true?" Toby asked her with uncertainty.

"Toby, believe it or not. It was true. Otherwise, how do you think I do that reporting? How do you think I know those things?

"The same thing happened in my past life, Toby. I also failed to protect the kids. Back then, I intended to revenge them but I back off eventually as soon as I found out that my sister was involve with that.

"But now, I still fail because I am too weak."

"Doesn't it occur to you that dying must be their fate then? Two lifetimes, different happenings but they still ended up dying. I don't think it was your fault but rather it was meant to happen." Jin said.

Natahimik si Nyssa when he said that.

Doon naman nakabawi si Toby mula sa pagkabigla niya.

He reached on Nyssa's face and wiped her tears.

"Maybe Jin is right..." Then he hesitated to say her name.

Napuna naman iyon ni Nyssa.

A small smile appeared on her face.

"I am the real Nyssa Ryder, you know."
