18: Night Stroll

Nyssa was busy unpacking the huge bag that was named after her when the door of the dorm opened.

A blonde man with eyeglasses stood there at agad itong umirap sa kanya when they met each other's gaze.

"Wait... Are you my dormmate?"

"But you are..." Nyssa stopped herself immediately. "Are you gay?"

"Any problem with that?"

Agad na umiling si Nyssa. She could tell that he doesn't like her.

Oh well. Para namang hindi pa siya sanay.

Namewang sa harap niya yung lalaki. "I am going to make this clear now. The top bed is mine. This closet is mine. The green cabinet in the bathroom is mine.

"The rest, we can both use pero wag kang burara, please lang. And please don't be noisy lalo na sa gabi. If you snore, find a way to stop it because I swear, I am gonna kick you out of this room."

Nyssa blinked.

This is the second threat na nareceive niya ngayong araw na ito. Just how unlucky she could get?

"Okay. Thank you for clearing."

"And one more thing, don't talk to me too much. I hate idiots."

Agad na sumimangot si Nyssa.

"Fine!"

Napanganga naman si Toby dahil doon.

"My goodness! Ibang level ka talaga ha."

"You said don't talk to you tapos ikaw naman ang kumakausap sa akin."

"I am just amazed at the level of your idiocy. Ikaw lang ang namumukod tanging kilala ko that will easily accept kapag tinawag siyang idiot."

"Tch."

Hindi na siya sumagot pa at nagpatuloy na lang sa pag-empake. Turned out, this luggage came from home. Ipinadala iyon nila Alexandra when they received the news of her passing the initiation test.

Oh well, masaya na siguro si Alexandra no? She would no longet throw her out of the house, right?

Nasa ganoon siyang pag-iisip when her roommate spoke again.

Napailing na lang si Nyssa saka nagpatuloy na sa pag-aayos ng gamit niya.

Kinagabihan...

"Shhhh..."

Kalagitnaan na ng gabi pero gising na gising pa rin si Nyssa.

Bigla ba namang lumabas mula sa void niya si Maru. And then it started whining.

"Kruuuu..."

"Maru, be quiet. Gusto mo bang sa labas tayo matulog ngayong gabi?"

Mas lalong lumakas ang pagwwhine nito.

Nyssa immediately covered Maru's mouth dahil bigla ding umungol si Toby mula sa upper deck.
