The rain gently pattered against the ground, bringing a wave of cold to the heat of late spring.
Even in a taiga biome the arrival of summer was clear. Everything started to warm up, and Bdubs had gone from jackets to shorts in only a few fleeting months.
Bdubs starred out of his window, drinking in the sight of verdant grass and spruce tree's contrasting the gray the rain brought.
He had been thinking a lot lately.
About his relationship.
Specifically with Doc.
They had been dating for a few months, and while they had been happy, Bdubs was starting to wonder.
Even a smile from Doc used to send his heart aflutter, but now he could barely get emotion out of a kiss.

The sun had gone down and the crickets were chirping by the time Bdubs felt Doc pull the covers up.
Bdubs let out a soft groan, he had almost fallen asleep.
The tan man rolled over, now facing a shirtless Doc.
The Creeper hybrid blew out a sigh, "Sorry, did I wake you?" He asked gently.
"No, it's ok." Bdubs responded softly, an uncharacteristic note of uncertainty in his voice. Of course, the uncertainty wasn't about the current situation, but Doc didn't know that.
