Chapter 44 - Deja vu

Lena pov

I woke up in a prison cell on a cold, hard bed with no blanket. It was freezing cold. I sat up and saw what I was wearing. I had my praetor chronal accelerator on, probably because from the outside it looked like my normal chronal accelerator, and I was wearing just some casual clothes, the ones I was wearing during the attack. The last thing I remembered was running across to go help Jack and Mccree with a mancubus.

I stood up and saw that there were 2 guards standing outside of my cell.

"Hey look, the fitty's awake." One of them said, causing them to both erupt into laughter.

I stretched a bit before sitting back down, ignoring the comments the guards made. I thought about (y/n). Angela said that he'd have been back soon. I had so many questions all of which I wanted the answers to yet none of which I could get.

"Hey, you two, quit messing around" the all too familiar voice of reaper said. The guards immediately shut up and saluted. Reaper walked over to my cell. He pulled a key out of his pocket and opened my cell door. "You're coming with us."

I went to stand up but I got hit with a taser, sending all of my muscles I to spasms, making me fall to the floor. Reaper then smacked me round the face, knocking me out.

When I woke up again, I was strapped down to a chair with scientists around me.

"Ah, good, you're awake." One of them said as he walked up to me.

"Are you sure this will work?" Reaper said sounding annoyed.

"Well, we identified the problem with the last one and have modified it accordingly to overcome the problem."

"So will it work?"

"I am almost positive of it."

"Good, because if it doesn't, there'll be serious consequences."

The scientist filled a syringe with a liquid and walked over to me.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"It will all become clear in a moment."

He thrust the needle into my arm and inject the fluid into me. Instantly my body was filled with a burning pain. I screamed as the pain engulfed me. My screams turned to cries and as the pain died, the cries turned to sobs.

"Did it work?" Reaper asked.

"We shall have to see."

"What did you do to me?" I asked.

"We've I've injected something into you which allows us to convince you in a single button press."

"What, how?"

"Like this." He said as he pushed a button. Instantly the pain engulfed me again. I screamed so loudly as the pain controlled me. As the pain dimmed down, I started crying again.

"So tell me, Tracer." Reaper said as he picked my chin up. "How do we kill (y/n)?"

I looked him dead in the eyes and spat at him.

"I'll never tell you how to do it." I said. The scientist pushed the button again, causing me to once again scream in pain.

As the pain wore off, reaper smacked me across the face.

"Tell me, Lena. How do you kill (y/n)!?"

I looked at him and scoffed before turning away from him.

"How about we up the pain?" Reaper said as he picked a knife up. He dug the knife into my arm. I let out a yelp of pain but quickly regained my composure.
