After making sure that there are no cameras around, Lin Yie sneaks towards Nightingale's room late at night.

Wait. I'm not having a secret affair, so why am I sneaking around like this? I just want to test my new ability!

Lin Yie takes a deep breath and stands straight before knocking on the door.

Nightingale opens the door and looks at him, "Pineapple Bun?"

Lin Yie says, "Yes, it's me."

"Why are you here?"

"Didn't I tell you that I am coming tonight?" Lin Yie scans his surroundings nervously.

"Oh." Nightingale remembers now, "You want to sleep with me."

"I want you to sleep, not with me! Anyway, let me in already."

"Uhm."

Nightingale trusts Lin Yie wholeheartedly. She stands aside to let him enter her room. Lin Yie takes one last look at his surroundings. After making sure no one sees him, he quickly enters her room.

Wait. I'm not a thief. Why am I sneaking around? Why do I feel so guilty?!

"Pineapple Bun?"

"Ah, nevermind." Lin Yie sees Nightingale in her pajamas and asks carelessly, "Did you shower?"

"Uhm." Nightingale asks, "How about you?"

"I will shower later... Wait a minute." Lin Yie facepalms, "Just go to bed already."

"What about you?"

"I have something else to do first."

"Do you need to wait until I fall asleep?"

"Uhm."

Lin Yie pauses before realizing what he just answered. He glares at her.

Nightingale looks away, "But I'm not tired."

"You will be." After successfully putting Chen to sleep, Lin Yie is suddenly very confident of himself.

"But my hair is still wet."

"I will dry it for you then."

Lin Yie takes a towel from her drawers and begins to dry her hair with it. He is very familiar with this task because of his previous job. He already lost count of how many pets he had dried. Drying a girl's hair should be similar to drying a pet.

Nightingale just sits there, as Lin Yie rubs her hair roughly.

To be honest, devils smell better than cats and dogs.

Nightingale's sight is blocked by the towel. She complains, "Pineapple Bun, I can't see you."

"Why do you want to see me?" Lin Yie says, "Your hair is almost dry."

"I don't want to sleep."

"What do you want to do then?"

"I want to eat pineapple buns."

"You can eat tomorrow. It's easy to get fat if you eat at night."

"What does being fat look like?"

Lin Yie thinks for a moment and says, "Do you know Nearl?"

Nightingale tries to shake her head, but Lin Yie is holding her head still, so she says, "No, I don't."

"You just forgot about her. When you go back, you will see her. She usually follows Shining around."

"Um. What about her?"

"She's quite fat because she ate too many pineapple buns," Lin Yie jokingly says. He knows Nearl is not actually fat. She just looks bulky because of her armor, but when the armor is off, her body is excellent. After all, he did see it.

"Really?"

"Uh. She's not that fat." Lin Yie corrects himself after remembering Nearl's axe.

"Oh."

Soon, Nightingale's hair is completely dried.

"Alright, you can sleep now, Liz."

Lin Yie moves a chair over and sits next to her bed, "I'll be here. Just sleep."

Nightingale tilts her head, "Are you going to tell me advanced math?"

"If you can't sleep."

Nightingale lies down obediently.

"Pineapple Bun."

"Um?"

"Do you have other stories?"

Of course, there are mechanics, chemistry...

Lin Yie asks, "What do you want to hear?"

"I want to hear the story about Pineapple Bun."

"Me? I don't have a story." Lin Yie shakes his head, "I am very ordinary."

"No, Pineapple Bun is great."

"But I really don't have one."

"You do," Nightingale stubbornly says.

"Fine. I do then." Lin Yie shrugs, "But I really don't have stories that are worth telling. They are all about cats and dogs. I had seven cats and a dog in the past."

"Why did you have that many?"

"I didn't want to have that many, but they came to me." Lin Yie says,

"I only had one cat at the beginning, but it died. After that, stray cats and dogs would come to me... It's possible that it called its friends over because it worried that I might get lonely."

"That's very interesting."

"How's that interesting? Does that even count?"

"It does." Nightingale says, "And it's interesting. Pineapple Bun is a good person, and he had a good cat."

Lin Yie smiles, "I'm not sure about the first part, but I did have a good cat."

"Were you sad?"

"When it died." Lin Yie falls silent and smiles bitterly.

"Don't be sad." Nightingale says, "Don't be sad."

After repeating that a few times, Nightingale closes her eyes.

"Liz?"

No response.

"Haha. She fell asleep so quickly." Lin Yie chuckles. He takes a few deep breaths before putting his hand on her forehead. Then, he closes his eyes and focuses on the warmth that is spreading through his palm. When he opens his eyes again, he is in a narrow, yet dirty tunnel.

As expected, it worked.

Suddenly, he hears heavy footsteps behind him. He turns around and gets run over by a huge devil.
