This is his first time talking to Liz after the past thirty visits. Before this, he always kept his mouth shut and would instead travel around the dungeon collecting information. That being said, Liz still can't recognize Lin Yie, even though this is not their first time meeting each other.

She fearfully asks, "Who are you?"

"I'm here to save you," Lin Yie picks her up and whispers, "The war is over. It's time to go."

"The war... is over?" Liz looks incredulously at him. She can't help but doubt her ears.

Despite her curious gaze, Lin Yie doesn't have the time to explain to her. With Ptilopsis's plan, he can make a single mistake. That stress alone makes it hard for him to speak.

Right on time, moments after he picked Liz up, Lin Yie hears the familiar footsteps approaching.

Lin Yie immediately ducks behind a wall with the torch in his hand. He gestures Liz to stay still.

"Get up! Get the fuck up!"

The same Sarkaz warrior rushes to Liz's cell, but when he sees the cell is empty, he pauses in shock.

Lin Yie seizes the opportunity and attacks him from his blindspot with the torch.

Despite being caught off-guard, the Sarkaz warrior is still able to react. He raises his arms immediately to guard his head. However, that swing is merely a feint.

Lin Yie wasn't aiming for the head in the first place. He lowers himself and thrusts.

*Hiss*

Lin Yie twists the torch, just to be sure.

"Awwww!!!"

The Sarkaz warrior covers his crotch in pain and howls.

Lin Yie pulls the torch out and starts striking the Sarkaz's head for real this time. Even though his sword-fighting skills still suck, his strength and agility have increased significantly after training with Yato. After several heavy strikes on the head, the Sarkaz drops dead.

Still, his howling was heard by his comrades.

"What happened?!"

When the dead Sarkaz hits the ground with a heavy thud, his comrades rush over to see what happened.

Lin Yie ducks back behind the wall with Liz and listens to the approaching footsteps.

Now!

He throws his torch at the poop buckets he left deliberately in the corridor.

The torch lands on a poop bucket at the same time the other Sarkaz guards enter the scene.

*Boom*

The flame ignites the methane gas coming from the poop buckets and causes the buckets to explode, showering the Sarkaz guards with pieces of poop and fragments of the wooden buckets.

Although there's not much poop to make the explosion lethal, the shockwave and 'payload' still serve as decent distractions.

"What the fuck is this?! Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"

"This is shit! This is shit!"

Despite their training, the Sarkaz warriors are thrown into disarray because of Lin Yie's "bioweapon."

And that's just the beginning.

The explosion woke the prisoners up.

Lin Yie shouts, "You are free now! Commence the counterattack! Kill those bastards!"

Without waiting for their reactions, Lin Yie picks Liz up and runs like crazy. She looks at him in shock.

"Is it... really over?"

"Yes," Lin Yie says, "The war is over."

Liz shakes her head, "I don't understand. Are you from the other side?"

"No," Lin Yie glances at her briefly, "You sent me here."

...

Despite the brilliantly manufactured chaos, Lin Yie is still found out.

"Who are y---"

Before the Sarkaz guard can catch Lin Yie, his neck is snapped by the hands from behind him. In his last moments, he looks behind and sees a prisoner who left his cell.

"You---"

...

Lin Yie runs as fast as he can while keeping his breathing under control. After the past thirty or so attempts, he understands this place down to the last detail. Whenever he runs past a torch, he would take it off the wall and throw it at the nearest poop bucket.

Amid the intermittent sounds of explosion, shouting, and fighting, Lin Yie dashes toward the secret passage like his life depend on it.

Now is not the time to watch the prisoners and guards fight one another. The former are mostly crippled, missing one or more limbs. It's impossible for them to defeat the jail guards.

...

Lin Yie kicks the storage room's door open. He puts Liz down and closes the door immediately. He blocks it with several poop buckets and puts his torch on a bucket at the angle that would ignite the buckets and cause the final explosion if someone attempts to enter the room by force.

Liz stares at him in shock. To her, this is obviously her first time meeting Lin Yie, but he seems to have lived in the dungeon for many years. From her cell to this room, he didn't even stop for a single moment.

Lin Yie takes a quick break to catch his breath. Up till now, everything has happened according to Ptilopsis's plan.

He picks Liz up again and jumps inside the passage. Because he has no torch left, he has to tread carefully in the dark.

In this hard-earned moment of silence, he can hear her nervous breathing and feel her trembling.

"Liz," Lin Yie whispers, "Don't be afraid. I'm really here to save you. When we reach the end of this passage, we will reach the surface."

Liz falls into silence. Then, she asks in a shaky voice, "W-who are you? What are you going to do to me? Why do you know my name?"

"I said I'm here to save you."

"I-I can't abandon my kin."

"No, Liz," Lin Yie says, "Your kinsmen are not here. You've been having a long nightmare, and it's about time that you wake up."
