Lin Yie stares at Ptilopsis in awe.

How could he miss that?

Why did he insist on fighting those Sarkaz's?

Why didn't he think of pickpocketing their key?

Is he intellectually inferior to an owl?

Lin Yie thinks about her plan carefully. It does seem very feasible, at least compared to his approach. However, the problem is, what should he do after getting the key? He can't rescue Liz with stealth on. After all, it's her dream. When he interacts with Liz, he becomes part of the dream.

But if he doesn't initiate a fight before unlocking her cell, those Sarkaz's will just think she escaped on her own, not because of a spy. Then, he won't have to face as much pressure as before. And if he knows the precise location of that secret passage and brings Liz there right away, he might just succeed.

Lin Yie can't help but praises Ptilopsis, "Great job!"

"It's not enough."

"Uh, why?"

"Ptilopsis doesn't have enough information about the prison," She points at the drawing again,

"In other words, the information you provided is incomplete. The known locations are extremely limited. If accidents happen, the main character can't come up with a countermeasure."

Lin Yie calms himself down, "You're right. What should I do?"

"Ptilopsis requires more information about the prison, including the secret passage and the other inmates."

Lin Yie pauses, "Why do you need to know about the inmates?"

Ptilopsis says, "They are tools the main character can use."

"Why would I need them?"

"Because the main character is intellectually inferior."

"Did you say 'intellectually inferior?' Did you just say that to my face?! Don't lie! I heard from you!"

Ptilopsis looks away from him, "Because of oripathy, Ptilopsis's nervous system cannot regulate speech properly."

Lin Yie's mouth twitches. He thinks she said that intentionally, but there is no proof.

He clenches his teeth, "Whatever. Continue with your explanation."

Lin Yie is really confused. How come every girl he met so far has great looks but with a dark side to match?

Ptilopsis nods, "Because the main character lacks fighting strength, in order to escape the underground prison, he has to use every resource available to him. The prisoners are also a type of resource to be used."

Lin Yie thinks she is right, but he still needs to collect more information for her.

That means, he has to waste another attempt.

He can't help but feel depressed.

"Detected negative emotions," Ptilopsis says, "Was Ptilopsis's answer unsatisfactory?"

Lin Yie shakes his head, "No. Of course not."

Ptilopsis tilts her head.

Lin Yie explains, "You're a big help. If I have more information, I will come to you again."

Ptilopsis moves her ears a little and asks, "Ptilopsis doesn't understand why you have negative emotions."

"That's my problem."

Lin Yie checks the time. It's already nighttime. He sighs, "Alright, you should go rest now."

Ptilopsis shakes her head, "Ptilopsis's work is not over. Ptilopsis still needs to assist Ms. Silence."

Lin Yie is surprised, "Do you have to work at night?"

Ptilopsis nods.
Lin Yie thinks for a moment. Owls are nocturnal, and they sleep during the day. It's not really strange they work at night.

Wait... Do they sleep during the day?

He can't help but feel her work here will just be sleeping, but that doesn't matter.

After Ptilopsis left, Lin Yie is getting ready to leave too. While he cleans his desk, Lin Yie finds a small note.

Your furniture has arrived. Come get them from the HR department. --- Orchid.

Finally, some good news.

Lin Yie puts the note in his pocket and decides to visit Orchid tomorrow. He also wants to ask her about the missing recruitment notices.

After meeting Ptilopsis, Lin Yie feels somewhat hopeful about his next two assistants. Are they as smart as Ptilopsis? Lungmen already decided to help him recruit an assistant, so that leaves one spot for Rhodes Island.
