Ch 96: Pursuit

As expected, Liz doesn't remember him. She can't remember the other time Lin Yie came to save her, so she has no idea what Lin Yie was talking about, but she doesn't dare to ask. Lin Yie was too brutal. In a few seconds, he killed a Sarkaz warrior in cold blood.

She trembles when she sees the bloody rod in his hand.

Lin Yie doesn't know what she's thinking. All he cares about is what to do next. Without a doubt, he was too reckless. Even though he took care of that Sarkaz without alerting others, he is still trapped in the underground prison. It's only a matter of time before another Sarkaz's come to check on their missing companion, and when that happens, he's doomed.

Lin Yie asks Liz, "Do you know the way out? It's best if it's rarely used."

Liz doesn't speak.

Lin Yie knocks her butt with the rod, "Tell me."

Liz almost cries, "I-I don't know."

Lin Yie is really annoyed.

I'm here to save you. Why do you look so wrong? Whatever, I will find a place to hide first.

Soon, the other Sarkaz notices something is wrong.

"Mad! Where are you, Mad?! Damn it. Where is he?! Centurion can't hold on much longer!"

"Don't tell me that girl is dead. I'll check myself."

Lin Yie glances at the dead Sarkaz and runs away.

Liz is not as afraid as before, but she is still nervous, "Who, who are you?"

"I'm Lin Yie. I'm here to save you."

"Real-really?"

"Of course. Don't be so afraid, Liz."

"Why do you know I'm Liz?"

That question sounds really familiar, but Lin Yie still doesn't know how to answer her, so he just pretends he didn't hear the question and keeps running.

A few seconds later, Liz asks, "Are you from the other side?"

"No."

"Then, why did you attack my kin?"

Lin Yie frowns, "Wait until we get out first!"

Liz is scared. She stops talking.

But not for long, "Where are you taking me?"

Lin Yie feels really annoyed.

Soon, he can hear a Sarkaz yelling, "Fuck! Mad is dead! And the medic is gone! We have a spy here!"

Lin Yie is not even that far away from the dead Sarkaz. It wouldn't be long before he is caught.

He stops and looks around, but there is nowhere to hide. There are only the tiny cells and prisoners, who are on the verge of death.

Lin Yie finds a water tank and runs towards it.

"This...!" Liz's expression changes when she sees the tank, but before she can speak, Lin Yie pushes her inside.

"Shut up! I'm saving you here!"

He jumps inside with her.

Right after he jumps in, he hears those Sarkaz's angry roars and heavy footsteps.

"The spy is still here!"

"Find him. I will skin him alive!"

Lin Yie shudders and closes the tank's lid.

He realizes there is a stench in the tank, and he almost pukes.

This is not a fucking water tank! It's a dung bucket!

Fortunately, the bucket is empty. There are only some brown stains on the walls. And compared to a water tank, this dung bucket is a better hiding place.

Lin Yie hugs Liz and whispers, "We'll be safe."

Liz doesn't say anything.

If he manages to stay out of sight, then it's fine, but what if he fails? What can he do then?"

He was able to hide last time. If it weren't for the smell, he would have not been found.

While he is thinking about what to do next, he manages to hear some Sarkaz's talking.

"We couldn't find him. He definitely left through the secret passage."

"The other side already knows where our passage is?! Goddamnit!"

"It's no use. Stay behind and take care of Centurion. We will pursue him."

"Um. I'll leave that to you."

After that, the footsteps disappear in the distance.

Lin Yie is thrilled. After all, he can't even deal with one Sarkaz, unless he catches them off guard, but they're not stupid.

Suddenly, the bucket's lid is lifted.

Lin Yie is shocked. He looks up immediately.

A Sarkaz is standing in front of the bucket and untying his pants. He stares at Lin Yie and Lin Yie stares at him.

Lin Yie quickly stabs the Sarkaz with his rod.

In the next second, screams echo in the prison...
