Sf9 Chani x Reader

Part 60✨

Third Person POV:

Minyoung, Jisoo, Dee and all of the members of sf9 were gathered in one of the practice rooms while Piper took Y/n out shopping to keep her distracted while the others planned her surprise party.
"Okay so her birthday is in five days, does anyone have any ideas of what we should do?" Minyoung asked as she stood in front of everyone with a clipboard in her hand.
"Unnie what's the clipboard for?" Dee asked as she observed the elder girl curiously.
"It's to write down ideas for the party" Minyoung answered causing everyone to nod in understanding.
"We could do something at night or later in the day and host it at our place because we have more room?" Youngbin suggested. Minyoung nodded at the suggestion as she wrote the idea down.
"Oh and we can decorate the apartment and invite some of her friends from other groups" Dee added as she clasped her hands together out of excitement.
"We shouldn't invite too many people though because Y/n gets overwhelmed really easily" Jisoo reminded as Minyoung continued writing.

After about an hour, the group decided on what to do for the party and planned all of the details and who they were going to invite. While they were wrapping up their 'meeting', Y/n and Piper were busy window shopping at the mall.
"Y/n?" Piper asked as she nudged the younger girls elbow. Y/n hummed in reply as she took a spoonful of the ice cream in her hand that the pair had bought earlier.
"Do you still like Chani? I know you used to like him a lot but you haven't talked about him lately" Piper asked as she took a spoonful of her own ice cream. Y/n choked slightly and widened her eyes at Piper,
"Why are you asking?" She asked in between coughs. Piper shrugged,
"I don't know I just thought that you and Jaemin were getting quite close so I was just wondering if you still liked Chani, or do you like Jaemin instead?" She asked casually, oblivious of Y/n's current relationship with Sf9's maknae.

The pair walked in silence for a few seconds until
Y/n decided to answer,
"Don't get me wrong Jaemin is nice and all but I don't like him more than a friend.."Y/n mumbled, hoping that Piper won't ask about Chani again.
Piper sighed and pouted, looking at Y/n with a disappointed expression.
"That's a shame because you two look cute together" she stated as she glanced at Y/n who raised her brows in response.
"Didn't you used to say that about Chani and I?" Y/n retorted causing Piper to stop walking.
"Well yes but that was before he became a jerk and hurt you"
"He's not a jerk"
"He took advantage of your feelings and used you so yes, he's a jerk"
"He didn't use me.." Y/n quietly muttered as she continued walking with her arms crossed. Piper jogged to catch up to her,
"Why did you forgive him so easily?" She asked impatiently.
"Piper please just drop it" Y/n said, progressively getting more annoyed at the older girl.

Piper stayed quiet for a few seconds and observed the younger girl.
"You still like him don't you?" She asked quietly, not wanting to anger Y/n more than she already has. Y/n sighed once again and stopped to face Piper.
"Yes I do, so what? He likes me back and we're happy together so why does it matter?!" Y/n exclaimed, gaining the attention of a few people walking past. Piper stepped back surprised with her eyes wide, not expecting Y/n to burst out like that. Y/n sighed and looked down as she anticipated what Piper was going to say.
"You're together? As in you're a couple?!" Piper asked. Y/n kept her head down and nodded causing Piper to breathe in deeply.
"Please just be happy for me...I know you don't like him but I do and we're happy together" Y/n mumbled sadly while keeping her eyes glued to the floor, not wanting to make eye contact with Piper.

Piper's eyes softened when she saw Y/n's expression.  She sighed and took Y/n's hands into her own,
"As long as you're happy then I'm happy so I guess I can try to like him.." Piper said causing Y/n to look up at her and smile excitedly.
"Really?!"
"Yes but if he hurts you again I won't show any mercy and I'll kill him" Piper replied. Y/n giggled softly and hugged the taller girl.
"Thank you thank you thank you, just please don't tell anyone, only you, Minyoung and Inseong know" Y/n stated as she pulled away. Piper nodded,
"Your secret is safe with me."
