After their escape from the Ministry, Harry, Hermione and Ron had been traveling on foot. Day and night, they listened to the radio, hoping not to hear any more of the people they knew heard dead. Harry has been anxiously listening to the radio, hoping to hear that Carina was spotted alive or that she's been found by Romulus and Elvendork, but for the past few days, no word has been said about Carina. But, he has been hearing Elvendork calling out to those missing, listing their names, and repeating Carina twice in the list. Sirius was desperate. Harry could imagine how Sirius was now. Not only was he dealing with the Order – fighting – but he is also looking for Carina.

Being night, they set up camp in some unknown place; Ron was resting on his hammock, whilst Harry and Hermione sat at the table with a book sprawled before them. They were talking about their next plan, and the truth was, they didn't have one. The radio went on, Hermione said the password to the Potterwatch and managed to get a reception. They waited. They listened to every word that Royal, River, Romolus, Elvendork, and Rapier. Their heart was beating three times than normal as it was Romulus and Elvendork's turn for the Pals of Potter. Hoping to hear any word about Carina, that she was safe, that she managed get back to Sirius, but it was too good to be true if it were.

"And Carina Black, is still missing since the night of the siege at the wedding taken by Death Eaters... There have been numerous reports of her being spotted in Diagon Alley, but all were false, used to lure others to a trap..." Romulus spoke. "Her family will not lose hope in finding her, and will continue to do so."

Hermione let out a sob. She couldn't believe it, her best friend was still missing. How could not have realized it when they left the wedding – how could they leave her there?! Harry sighed, he turned to Hermione and brought her to a hug. Hermione held on to him, crying on his shoulder.

"She's alright, Hermione, Carina's alright," Harry said.

"But Harry! They got her! They got Carina! Who knows what they're doing to her!" Hermione cried.

"As soon as we know where she is, we'll get her... I promise."

After another broadcast at the Potterwatch, Sirius sank in his seat, pulling on his hair. For the past few months, the man's appearance has aged a few years due to lack of sleep, worrying about his family, worrying about Harry, Hermione, and Ron, and trying to find Carina. They have tried numerous times to look for her. They went west to find Carina, but could not stay long as Death Eaters crawled every corner of the place, and they needed to flee. And as much as Sirius wanted to search for her alone, Remus managed to hold him back, knowing that if Sirius were to storm every house at the west, he would die.

"Sirius," Remus sighed.

"I can't just sit here and hope that my daughter would magically come to me, Remus," Sirius said. "I can't just sit here and wait for news about her – maybe the next time we hear her name is because they've found her body in the streets of Diagon Alley... left to rot," Sirius got up, alarming Kingsley and Remus. "I'm tired of sitting here and doing nothing – that's what I've been doing for the past twelve years when I was in Azkaban... that's I've done for a whole year in that infernal home... I can't sit here and do nothing!"

"Sirius, calm yourself," Kingsley went to stop Sirius from leaving.

"My daughter needs me," Sirius said. "If I have to face an army of Death Eaters I would do so."

"And die in the process," Kingsley said. "And that is the last thing we need, and that is the last thing your daughter needs to hear when she's so far away from her family... we need to wait for an opportunity."
