The news of Sirius' escape blew at the Ministry's faces, not only has Buckbeak escaped his execution, but as well as Sirius, and to add to more the trouble the Ministry is facing, one of their top Aurors, Vivian Solomon, has been reported to have helped Sirius Black escape and is on the run with him. Of course, Snape thought otherwise that it was all just Vivian who helped Sirius, and tried to blame Harry, Hermione, Carina, and Ron, but he did not have enough evidence to point at them, unlike Vivian who had more reason to help Sirius Black than four third-years.

Carina and the others were discharged from the hospital wing by noon the following day, and just as she stepped foot out of the door, she was tackled to an embrace by Roman and found Theodore standing behind Roman with a far calmer composure, and his hands tucked inside his pants pockets.

"We heard the news – what were you thinking?!" Roman scolded her. "What if Black got you – or worse, killed you!"

"We're fine, Rome, see?" Carina showed her bandaged hands, which she admits was not a good example. "Just a few scratches from the trees."

"That's it, I'm no longer leaving your side, you hear me? No matter what it is you're going to – I don't care if it involved mutilation or decapitation –"

As Roman scolded Carina, Theodore noticed how at ease she was even after a night of being chased by Sirius Black. It was as if something happened last night that – somehow – made Carina glow even more. Did something happen between her and Sirius Black?

"You seem a lot chipper, Black," Theodore began.

"You could say I am," Carina shrugged. "I'm taking your advice, Nott, I'm no longer letting Sirius Black control my life – even when he's escaped – besides, I have far happier things to think about."

Harry and she tried their best to hide their smiles.

"You must really love that beast for you to be all giddy, even after a night of being chased by Black," Theodore pointed out.

"What can I say, Buckbeak's escape really got me, you know?" Carina patted herself on the chest, above the heart. "I'll see you two around, right now, I want to take a long, hot bath."

During the last few days of the term, the news of Sirius Black's escape was the only thing being talked about. The Aurors and the dementors were asked to leave the castle – Tom was too disappointed that Sirius escaped that he left without saying a word to Carina and Maisie. But, Carina heard that he and Remus had a bit of a spat before he left, but when she asked Remus about it, the man would simply wave it off. She thought it was just a simple argument about Sirius again or Vivian and Tom would get over it, but Remus knew that it would take time for Tom to accept the truth. The truth about Emmanuelle's death.

As the days went on, Carina could not wait for summer to come as she has asked Remus to visit them at their home at Hanst or visit him at.. wherever he lived. She wanted to get to know him more and learn so much about her parents. And, maybe, kidnap Harry once again from his Aunt and Uncle's. But all her happiness has come to an end when the news came about Remus.

"Did you hear, the World Cup is being held here this summer? I already asked Dad if I could go, he said he'll pull some strings – especially with Mum," Roman said.

"Then we should go together then! With Harry and the Weasleys!" Carina said, "How about you, Nott, you going to see the Quidditch Cup?"

"We'll see," Theodore sighed as he massaged Lynx's head.

"I think my cat loves Theodore more than me now," Roman grumbled. "Lynx won't even sleep on my bed anymore," Roman muttered.

"It's because I don't kick her off the bed, you idiot," Theodore then turned to Carina. "By the way, what's going to happen to Professor Lupin?"
