Hi loves! I hope you are all doing well and had a great weekend! Thank you for the 4.96k reads!!!!

The week after dancing with Neville was interesting, to say the least, for one I got to dance with my best friend but on the other hand, I had a huge bruise on my bottom. I woke up to Romilda and Cho talking but stopped when they saw me up.

"Good morning my fellow Ravenclaws" I yawned and sat up "So, what shit were you talking about?"

Cho looked between Romilda and me before Luna spoke up "They heard about you going with Blaise and thinks you moved on from Draco too quick"

Cho glared at Luna but I spoke up "Okay well you could've talked to me about it instead of assuming so let's get the facts straight. We won't talk about Draco unless you want to destroy my mental health and also Blaise and I are going to the ball as friends okay?"

Not caring for a response, I got up and dressed, not making eye contact with any of them besides Luna who shared a sad glance. I put my robe on and walked out of the dorm, slamming the door behind me.

I stormed downstairs and sat on the couch, trying to calm down. I grabbed a book from one of the shelves and started reading it.

"Nice book choice," A boy's voice said from behind me, I jumped and turned around to see a Gryffindor boy who I've seen but never interacted with

"Shit I didn't mean to scare you, I'm Spencer" He held out his hand and I shook it "Y/N, and it's okay, I get startled easily" I smiled and he sat next to me

He laughed lightly "So, what happened, you seem really mad," he said to which I sighed "Just people assuming things they shouldn't"

He nodded "I hate that, if you don't mind me asking what did they say" it felt nice to be able to have a conversation without fighting or anything of the sort

"Well they talked about an ex-boyfriend and then assumed I had gotten a date with an old friend" I sighed and put the book down "How come I haven't seen you at all?"

He laughed to which I raised my eyebrow in confusion so he responded "Oh, well you and um...I think your ex-boyfriend have been in your own worlds, I've been in charms with you since my first year. It isn't a big of a deal, certain groups ignore people like me" He smiled sadly

I felt really guilty and fiddled with my fingers "Well..um I'm sorry about that, maybe we could be friends?" I asked and he smiled

"That would be cool and I'm assuming it would probably be good to take your mind off everything," He said but immediately followed up "I'm not creepy I swear, you are just exhibiting traits of being stressed"

"You aren't wrong, but I don't want to be your friend as a distraction, you seem like a really good person" I smiled and he went to respond before a door shut above us and Luna came down

"Y/N, can you come up? Oh, Hi Spencer, how are you?" She asked as I looked at them while I walked up the stairs

"I'm doing well, the new edition of The Quibbler was really good, and um Y/N it was nice meeting you," He said and grabbed the book I was reading and continued reading where I was in the book

As I walked up luna looked over at me "I know you aren't going to move on from Draco that soon, but spencer is really nice and I think it would be good for you to have new people in your life, he could be a really good influence on you." I smiled

"I like him, like a friend, he seems like a really good person" Luna nodded "However if I walk into the room and there isn't an apology, they will feel my wrath"
